Nice. Now all we need is for the Government to increase the the assist speed from 25 to 32kph. as they have in New Zealand

@@timgearing5121 yeah that little bit extra would be nice in traffic. Probably be hard to get through with all the eScooter injuries and dramas at the moment 😥

Would be good for some kind of insurance to be made mandatory for higher speed vehicles.

@@asjeot I do like the concept in Germany (and other places) where the 45km/h speed versions need insurance and a specific moped license. Or even Japan where you can switch between 25km/h eBike for bike trails and eMoped mode if you flip down a numberplate (and have license and insurance).

@ we need to be careful about bikes and speed. At the moment the restriction is on power at 250 watts. Above that and the class changes to a moped. If it becomes about speed then it will involve every cyclist,even kids riding to school.

@timgearing5121 so true, and encouraging *more* kids to ride to school will hopefully turn the tide after they leave school..
