Always love a nice dry/smi-dry Reisling.... and the occasional semi-sweet. Can you do a Gruner Veltliner with comparison?

Me too! And I'm hoping one day a Grüner full episode is in the works in Austria!

Never tried it, but sounds cool to get a diesel note 😅

Enjoyed the video, as always. I've commented once before and that was when you ran the NY State show, and I wrote then that some of the Cab Franc I had in the Finger Lakes was just as good as the Cab Franc's I had in Chinon. You're mention of the gasoline smell causes me to write again. I was in Colmar, France on Sunday March 24, 2018, and drinking a 2016 Joseph Cottin Muscat and though it had a nose of melon and apricots, I noticed a distinct odor of diesel/gas. A different varietal for sure, but similar nose. I've told many of my friends about this, and they've all given me a raised eyebrow in disbelief. I'm glad I'm not alone with my olfactory senses . . . .

I agree! The Cab Francs are the unsung heroes of that region; and the Chard! And yes, its a legit tasting note for sure! One I love if its done right!
