very useful video. But why are you playing in the key of D when the track being played is Eb?

The choice was either use a capo at the first fret or re-tune the guitar, I chose to re-tune. There are multiple guitars on the original recording and I saw a video with one guy using a capo at first and the second guy using E-shape chords on a guitar that was tuned down.

intro: D string open, G at 2nd, B at third twice, pick A string and hammer at 2nd then pick open D, D string open, G open, B at third verse: D chord alternating with D chord add G ( E string at third ) A chord back to D chord or intro chorus: G chord ( full barre or use thumb on low E string at third ), D chord alt D add G, A chord back to D chord can't type well, right arm in sling after shoulder surgery, no new videos for awhile

The slide up is actually sliding on the D string: 2nd fret slide up to 4 and pick 2nd fret on G string, 4 slide up to 7 and pick5 on G, 7 slide up to 9 and pick 7 on G. It’s a little tricky and needs to be played fast to fit between the D and A chord.
