I had two weeks of rigging classes when studying 3D and the teacher kept on telling us how it was the most difficult part of 3D and how impossible it was and how much people hated it... blablabla... you just made it a joy and super easy to understand and follow! I am loving this channel!

I got my degree in Computer Animation about 3 years ago. I work as an animator and haven't done any rigging since I graduated and forgot several important small aspects of getting the IK handles linked properly. I found your video after struggling with this for 2 days. It was exactly what i needed to get my simple character working. Thank you.

Thanks for the video, i have a question. After using constrain in all the joints, when i parent the controllers to the Root controller making him the father of all of them the joints don´t stay at the floor when i move the Root controller in negative position from the Y edge for trying to make jump animation, they all go down the floor like falling making them ignore the Ik Handle function you show in this part 5:56. What should i do?, is there any way can i use the Root Controller for move all the stuff without having this problem?.

I believe if you select the root joint, under Skin>Go To Bind Pose. That should pop your character back to the tPose that you binded it. I hope that helps!

When you orientated the joints which way are the joints facing? I'm having a problem with my joints. When I use the IKhandle to move the foot the inner of the leg bends but slightly twists to the left. Why is that?

yeah why do the knees and the feet IK stay where they are when you move the root?? what if i wanted to animate my character jumping
@owlcupcake946911 ай бұрын
Is there a way for the Controller for the knee to follow the Knee joint as I move the character, when I try parenting the Controller to the Joint and move the Foot Handle, the knee controller starts rotating in 360 degrees (I'm assuming its because it follows the knee joint and as the joint moves, the controller also follows and creates this perpetual movement). for the project I had to work on I ended up just manually moving the knee controllers but is there a more efficient way to do this?

So I deleted my history on the controls and the ik handle (and another version where I did that on just the controls and not the ik handle) If i move the control out into space the IK follows but if I hit "Undo" or Ctrl Z all it does is move the control and not the IK handle back to its original area. how do I fix this?

was wondering how to connect the joints/ bones when the character is in different meshes, I was hoping the character was in multiple pieces but when you went to select your character it was all one piece despite looking like your clothing was hopefully separate. any insight? for example if ur hip bone ha to connect to the leg and the dress if was separate.
