Love your video, Oriental seems to be a must stop. You embrace every location. Herbie an the rain, precious! The birds , Jerry seems she will be the word vocal of the 2! Great video as usual. Off-topic question though. What port Windows do you have on wisdom? I'm in search of some that will not break the bank but will hold up oakshore.
@RiggingDoctor Жыл бұрын
I don’t see any branding on them, but these are the same style (I’ve been shopping for Windpuff): www.spartanmarine.com/all-products/bluewater-series-opening-ports They do hurt the back though. The ones on Wisdom are cast aluminum but maintained painted to avoid oxidation.

Curious, above your stove at MM 15:21, is that a small portlight or vent/access opening to the deck? Also, love the lighting above the galley area! Your own design? Third question, How do you make your Chick Pea salade? I get hungry every time I see you make it! 😄
@RiggingDoctor Жыл бұрын
It’s a solar vent over the stove. The lights are from IKEA (they are 12 volt) and tie in directly to the boats power system. It’s delicious and easy! She chops up some veggies and mixes it with canned chick peas. She puts in a bunch of veggies and I love it! I’ll ask her to send you the recipe :)

I haven't been there yet but have heard wonderful things about Oriental. Seems like the kind of place where I'd like to have property for bus parking and boat building... or up river a bit from there in a secluded area. We'll have to go check it out.

It’s the best place ever! Do have a departure date in mind before you go or you will stay there forever 😂
@allmomomosthomebus3895 Жыл бұрын
@@RiggingDoctor we'll have to take a trip there and check the area out. Our goal is to have a few properties we own and one of them will be where we park the bus when we are ocean cruising. And to store our boat when we're being bus nomads. We like the Chesapeake but maybe somewhat warmer NC would be better as we age.
@RiggingDoctor Жыл бұрын
That sounds like such a cool plan!

@@RiggingDoctor when the nest is empty, we're going full time nomad. I can still work in my profession with reasonable remote access. Started with the bus conversion idea, and the bus is nearing completion, and in the process I got interested in sailing and cruising trimarans too. Then decided to start the kit boat business.

Creative use of the hat in the sideways rain but maybe side curtains would be handy. Not that I have any protection at the helm. You both got a bit too much sun in those three weeks. A disadvantage of being very fair skinned is you have to be extra careful these days (less ozone, more UVB than many decades past). Nice artwork you had there at your booth at the show.
