It's great to see such young people able to explain such complex concepts. We'll done Lenard! The people are obviously the main strength of the Rimac company. Also the shirt is nice 👌

Hi Luka , which tool or framework do you use to design HMI screens for automotive and which OS is supported to develop it for implementation. Yes Figma is good for prototyping and design reviews, but for actual development what tool or framework do you use? Thanks

RIMAC buying Bugatti??
@beaviccoon4704 жыл бұрын
I think they are, the deal is said to be done by the end of 2020 and once that happens then there's no more W16. I'm quite interested to see what Rimac does with Bugatti.

The driving experience should be focused. Overcomplicated screen are deadly when the driver has to make split second decisions. Franky, I think that analogue knobs to be more intuitive. I heard that you need to speak or navigate a touchscreen to open a tesla glove box. That is so unnecessary when a latch has been doing this for decades. Tried and true methods are better than "innovative" and contrarian concepts. More electronics equals more chances for failure also. But this is just my opinion. I am not sure what the masses think. All these answers can be figured out through research.

I think this might get the lotus at the start but after that the lotus might real the Rimac in until about 200mph and at that point the Rimac will blast off and won't look back. That's my guess anyways.

The sooner the touch screen fad dies the better. Tesla is awful, without any buttons. The tactile feedback of quality buttons and switches is part of a car's character and quality. Being able to reach a well designed button layout without having to look is another sign of quality, not to mention saftey design. If I want to use an ipad, I will use an ipad - that's not a driving experience. That said, taking an ipad is the better choice over in-car software, which is instantly dated and rarely updated. Rimac will never have the software teams of google and apple and can never compete in this area. Having primary controls via well, ergonomically designed knobs, buttons and switches sets the tone of the vehicle, PLUS a slot for a screen device for those who, for some reason, want to buy a supercar but want to watch netflix in it (ie nobody)...

I didnt understand ...Figma is for webdesigning right? so how do we do it in Automobile? is it like the Dashboard Touch panel we see in TESLA???? and nowadays many more cars? how do they you you guys design interiors Seats , etc?
@icavir3 жыл бұрын
Why are you planning to produce only 150 cars? Is not just you I see this with all hypercars. You spend 5 years in developing the car and I don't know how many millions of Euros and then only 150 examples. Is that the limit of the demand? Is not worth it to produce more than 150? Btw you are doing incredible job, continue like that.

I think for people who don't like to drive (apparently many/most people) it would be good, but obviously for people who like driving, control should be left for the driver. I would hate to live in a world where all cars are autonomous (I love driving), so at most it should be an option, never a default.
@allensaunders4494 жыл бұрын
@@tyiffpeijc8702 i agree i love to drive. Maybe in some very crowded city centers autonomous could be a positive thing
