Cadian Drop Troops Pay the Price | A Fustercluck in ArmA 3 40k

An interesting operation, all things said and done. A slow start, intense middle and dark end, what fun. Hope you all enjoyed, this was one of my favourites of the recent Fusterclucks. On a roll, it seems.
What unit/clan is this?
This is my unit, the Cadian XXth. Casual milsim, roleplay and all those weird ops that you never get to play in your normal milsim group. It can be found in the discord: / discord

What is this mod?
A combination of Grimdark Armory & There is Only War. GDA was used for most of the weapons, aircraft and vehicles, while TIOW was primarily used for the uniforms.
The enemy airstrikes were handled by Drongo's Air Operations combined with Drongo's AI Fire Support, which let the enemy forward air controllers call in Blood Pact aircraft.

I wish. Video definitely has inspiration from the likes of Soviet and Max0r, but I try to strike a nice line for telling a story, humorous edits and actual gameplay. I try to put out a video every three days, hence why not every single video will be a Fustercluck or not as long or detailed as I'd like. Time constraints are a problem.

@@tadhgmcelligott3693 This a year old already but I feel the need to clarify / confirm, Rimmy's controlled heretic definitely died while Digby's, I believe, survived. We start the ending clip from Rimmy's perspective and he is blown back and killed by the explosion. We then get the other heretic's perspective where we see this one is injured but still standing and moving around. You can also tell just by listening to them talk. Rimmy's voice is clear and loud in the first part of the clip, but when we switch to the other's perspective, his voice gets further away as he is blown away from Simpkin's explosion and the other heretic.

does not help that they are always deployed in the "worst case scenario" too. They are an elite force that is supposed to only be used in extreme circumstances, which, obviously doesnt help their chances of survival. Though in general 40k lore, even though many battles are written about as being "7 minutes till the guardsman dies". The majority of wars and battles are not as gruesome. A lot of "irrelevant" aka majority of campaigns and battles are pretty small scale with "normal" losses. Though these battles seldom matter when theres litterally a million different places to be sent to, let alone die in.

I think I’m not the only one who thinks this, but I believe we all agree with one thing: Simpkin isn’t just any Imperial guardsman. He IS the imperial guard, and everything they represent. Shitty equipment, poor armour, dying in droves for an uncaring galaxy filled with endless unspeakable horror. And yet, no one. NO ONE. Has bigger grit, resilience and sheer force of will and bravery, like the Imperial Guard. He died standing. God speed, Simpkin. He’d definitely make for a fine Cadian and possibly a Kriegsman with that sacrifice. Also side note... HANG 10 BRO!!! 😂
