@@Aereto Well, Kenshi can be easily beaten by just having a solo-character who is insane at stealth, lockpicking, assassination and thievery. Cats are never a problem when you can just rob stores at night for literally EVERYTHING, knocking out all the guards if there are any. ... The bigger problem is actually managing the inventories and abilities of large squads. That's why I far prefer being a lone wanderer, my only construction being a small base inhabited by a ton of security spiders from a mod who need no food. Only have one inventory and skill list to keep track of.

@ nope. In fact, the desert rangers of fallout nv are in reference to wasteland's very own rangers.

@ I think all in all some of the lore is ported from Wastland Desert ranger. but if you play the Old world Blue mod for Heart of Iron 4. what they did was they took the general lore for Fallout 1, 2, Tactics(maybe), 3, New vegas, Probably later will add from 4. and then they took the lore from Wastlander for the desert ranger faction as they dont conflict.

The lore was in fact ported from Wasteland to Fallout. Back in the day Wasteland was supposed to be fallout but then some legal disputes and they lost the license to "Wasteland" So they packed up and rebranded as fallout with a lot of the exact same lore and a lot changed. One of the things that stayed was the desert rangers.

I do find it funny that the HoI4 Old World Blues mod basically copy and pastes the Desert Rangers out of Wasteland 2 as the Mod's Desert Ranger faction. Even if they're from two completely different universes and their geographic location is very different from where they're supposed to be in Fallout lore.

the fallout universe was based on the wasteland universe. think of it less like "the Desert Rangers" from wasteland and more like "the Desert Rangers" from fallout who just happen to have familiar faces and names. the mirror universe rangers, if you will

Supposedly the whole reason Fallout is Fallout is because one of the creators from Wasteland refused to sell the rights because of how violent Fallout's tech demonstration was. Rimmy, I just wanted to say thank you. Your video here is what introduced me to Wasteland in general, and I played through 2 on the game pass while waiting for 3's release. Needless to say, I am proud to say after my third completed playthrough I have never been more invested in a post apocalypse setting since my first journey into Fallout. Truly, thank you for introducing me to this series, because Wasteland 3 really left quite an impact on me. That being said...would love to see your reactions to the rest of the game. Maybe a full playthrough is in order? :D

Holy shit this is gory. Last time I've seen this much blood and guts in a game was when I met the Butcher in Diablo 1. Also: The editing was good, especially the zoom ins on the weapons and the flashback at 9:37. It could use some more of those and some "random" ones like Angory Tom has in his TABS videos just to roll with the insanity of this game. I don't know if this was cut from the edit or if you just skipped over it during the gameplay, but I'd love to hear the full dialogues and the answers your characters have as this seems to be one of the main parts of the game. All in all a solid 8/10 would watch a lot more.

Yes I'm commenting on a 4 year old video. I recently finished my first proper run of the game and enjoyed it immensely I love everything about Jarett Dorsey. From the second he speaks to you it is abundantly clear that he is a psychotic killer who kills for the love of it. Everything from the way he looks to how he speaks and acts is fantastic work by both the VA and character designers. There is no doubt he is completely unhinged and he make sit very clear that the rest of his family is exactly the same

You should make this a series. As for all the cowards, that could be explained with a couple reasons. One, their a bunch of new recruits who haven't seen battle. Two, Arizona is relatively safe compared to Colorado. So, they wouldn't expect such brutality to hit them the moment they get there. Thus breaking them and their resolve.

Wasteland is an amazing series. Play all of them. The first one predates fallout, and the original fallouts were the spiritual successor of the original wasteland, with a bunch of the original staff working on it.
