People aren't liking the commenter's post out of any merit of the commenter, but to show that "I loved that part too." @ArtThingies Жыл бұрын
Why do I feel like literally everyone I tlak to about Rimworld says that their last or current colony is a cannibal colony?
@TheSqoad Жыл бұрын
@@ArtThingies I mean, the game is just easier that way. Keeping a colinist happy can be pretty hard. Everything upsets them. No matter how many flowers you plant, or board games you have, or tasty gourmey meals you serve, a single bad day will set your colony doctor into a death spiral. First she digs up the burried dead and throws the corpses all over the dining hall, then she starts harassing the research team, then she sets the colony on fire which kills her husband and all other staff. And finally she goes after the expedition team who just came back with vital supplies. And now the whole colony is gone, the doctor died of malaria, and the expedition team has fallen into deep depression as they look over the ashes of their former home. And this is from my personal experience! Meanwhile a cannibal is just so happy all the time. Lost a leg? Have the flu? The colony is set to -17C? Getting bullied by the other colonists? No problem! Today is a great day! Because this cannibal ate human steak for breakfast, and he's on top of the world! No mind breaks, everyone is productive, and the feedback loop of raids just keeps increasing the joy. Besides, hunting/farming is a hassle. I like doing it, but it's heartbreaking when my Muffalos die from age, disease, or raids. Meanwhile there's a metaphorical conveyor belt of bandit flesh just filling up the pantry, so even a bad harvest won't leave the cannibal colony hungry.

I planned on recruiting one guy, I even converted him to my ideoligion. Then he tryed to escape. Of course I didn't want to kill him, so I only sent my melee figther, the one using a blunt weapon. Because blunt weapons don't cut, so the prisoner would collapse from pain with minimal risks of dying. Except that my melee fighter had a zeushammer. The prisoner collapsed without dying, but he was missing one arm and one leg: completely destroyed by sheer blunt damage.
