When Cash and Dylan sing together it's like living at the same time in two different amazing worlds.

My brothers and I are a direct result. Mom was Wasp from Boston to Manhantville in 69, Dad was 13 years older Italian sanitation worker from NY. It was Dillon and Cash and the like that made me and my bros, plus kids and grandkids, all possible.

Never understand why people complain about Bob's voice the people that do obviously just don't get Bob. Johnny loved him and his voice as did mostly everyone in the music community so why can't everyone else? hendrix, the beatles, cash, even Frank Sinatra all adored Dylan
@rolandoaponte2146 жыл бұрын
I adore Dylan even though his voice may sound harsh for many people tastes! It's a matter of appreciation of a man who was the voice of his generation, who is considered a poet, who has composed hundreds of beautiful songs and who has received the highest recognitions, including a Nobel prize. You can't say the same of Bruno Mars.
@CherokeeRoses6 жыл бұрын
Jacob Lineman he's got a rough, unusual kind of voice. I feel like a lot of (especially young) people are used to polished, sometimes heavily autotuned voice. Most do not care for lyrics or passion either. Which is a shame! When I was a little kid, I didn't get the charm either, yet my father would sing and play along to Bob Dylan on his guitar to no end. Now that I'm older, I feel like I'm finally understanding Dylan and his songs and why my father appreciates him so much. :)

for me and my dad it was Billie Holliday. When I was a kid I hated her voice. Then I grew up.

From what i have learned.....Bob had a motorcycle wreck and he had throat damage. this was recorded before he had the wreck.....i was named Dylan Robert in honor of him lol. My dad is a HUGE fan. I am also it seems.

Actually if this is Nashville Skyline recordings, this is LONG after Bobs moto accident. He didn't hurt his throat in the crash.

I love both Johnny & Bob. They are both unique in their own right. I grew up listening to both of them and never really appreciated their voices/music. I was a RN in Nashville and took care of Johnny Cash at Baptist hospital. He was the kindest, sweetest man, but June Carter Cash was a whole different story. 😱 I have loved Johnny's music since I was 8 years old. Don't know anyone who doesn't. Bob on the other hand, you either love him or hate him. Ha! Some of his music/songs I like, some I don't like and others I love. I pick and choose my music with Bob, and truly thank him for his contribution to our generation. 👏

Because, I dunno, non-politicians as Presidents sounds like a great concept, but lately hasn't actually been working out all that well? Those "bidnessman Preznets" have just wound up screwing the pooch. We barely survived GWB and that Dick, Cheney; it'll be a miracle if we live through Deadbeat Donnie.

Superb. Dylan and Cash two legends.
@owenwilberforce61385 жыл бұрын
Cash was obviously blessed with a baritone Dylan could only admire but never compete with. What they admired about each other was that both men were fearless to sing what they felt. Dylan quickly distanced himself from “protest” songs after his third album but Cash sang “ Ballad of Ira Hayes” and did a whole album commemorating Native Americans which country radio at that point in the mid 60’s ignored. Cash and Dylan were rebels who entertained and survived backlashes against their audacity. Both had balls but Cash’s came through in his incredible baritone that Bob must have admired. That Bob paid homage to Cash meant paling in comparison to Cash’s authenticity.
