His conscious decision to make stories for everyone on the card is supremely-admirable and often overlooked. That's one of the biggest reasons why Ive always liked Russo. All the marks cry about WCW 2000. To me what I saw in 2000 was effort. Compare that to the way WWE just phones everything in now days. Storylines barely ever progress, meaningless match after meaninless match. Same guys wrestling each other over and over and over and over etc.... WCW 2000 while not everything worked and yes some of it was bad I loved that they were throwing everything against the wall to see what would stick. So it was always worth watching because it wasn't predictable and at some point something cool would happen. These days, not so much.
