Can't find it at the moment to check the dates. The Alice Cooper - Milwaukee moment was a nice touch as Milwaukee was the location of one of the few house shows they ran. I was there. The ring was supplied by Jake Milliman (of AWA 'fame'). Had an amusing moment when we realized Vampiro and Norman Smiley were ahead of us in the line for concessions. If you want to convince people that your wrestling DVDs are classic and important, interrupt the wrestling footage constantly with two jerks explaining that this is really classic and important, works like a charm.

I was at these tapings. The Hogan match was an impromptu thing and in spite of the match quality itself, the crowd was super into Hogan. plus, you got to see Hogan and Perfect go at it.....not bad for free tickets.

Glad you did this one. I own the ring used XWF world heavyweight championship belt. What that promotion could have been is so interesting to me.

That's fascinating that you own the belt! How did you end up getting that?
@LBastone6 жыл бұрын
Wrestling With Wregret I am friends with a lot of belt collectors and just a few months ago one of them were selling the ring used world heavyweight belt held by Viscera and Jerry the King Lawler and I bought it from him. There are 3 in existence that JMar (the belt maker made) but only one was ring used and the other 2 were supposed to be back ups (which obviously weren’t needed) The ring used one that I own is the only one with a 6th logo plate and many more bolts in the back than the other two that other private collectors own. It is a very cool belt to own indeed. It was also used in Puerto Rico when they did the storyline of XWF invading a Mexican wrestling promotion.

I'll give it this, at least the XWF's goal wasn't meant to bring wrestling back to it's roots.

What always catches my attention on these DVDs is that every time you see someone wearing an XWF shirt the logo is a completely different design than all the other ones. I honestly don't know if that's because they were so confident in success that they went gung-ho with their merch, or they just couldn't make up their minds on something as basic as what the logo should look like and spent a ton of money constantly redesigning it.
