My Favourite part was when Galadriel showed up outside of Arondir's home with a fully-automatic crossbow and just blasted the house trying to assassinate him because he's going to help create cyborg Balrogs for Sauron. So she tries to go into finish the job and that's when she finds him cowering infront of Bronwyn and Theo throws himself over Arondir's chest and screams "DON'T KILL MY DADDY!!! DON'T KILL MY DADDY!!!". Then you get that fucken *awesome* emotional scene where Nori Brandyfoot and Randalf the wizard show up and Nori's like "you have to show them the truth, tell them!" and Randalf the wizard peels the flesh from his arm and shows Arondir that he is actually A BALROG!!! and it's sooooo fucken cool dude!! i mean, we already knew he was a balrog, but the special effects were *so* awesome!!

First of all, 99% of the places on this planet are NOT cities, and outside of cities (whether youre in Hampshire, New Hampshire, Harbin or Hungary), most places have a pretty monochrome population. More importantly, though, the last time I checked, Asians made up 60% of the population of this "real world" you talk about. I dont see a single goddamned Asian in this entire sad kabuki farce! The fact that Tolkien's life's work, an anti-corporate industrialism recreation of legend, written by a professor of linguistics, that will speak to all ages forever, will now be repeatedly desecrated by the exact example of the vileness the story was written against, over and over for another 50 more hours for the next 5 years is truly terrifying. The dark one has finally gathered enough power to corrupt Middle-earth.

The show feels like a very bad pen&paper rpg session: Instant travel: P1: "That dwarf dungeon is 400 miles away, how do we get there? Do we have transport, food, water?" DM: "I don't care, i wanna get to the next scene." *snaps finger* Dialogue: P1: "Well, we are accountants and it guys, not trained actors with a script, what do you think that you will get?" (ironically, better dialogue than from the show) DM: "That will do, i wanna get to the next scene." Consistency of characters: P1: "That is quite odd for your characters description." P2: "I don't care, i want that +4 Longsword of P3nis enlargement" DM: "And i wanna get to the next scene, so idc." Inexplicable happenings: Galadriel enters the room, she rolls on intelligence, a natural 20, she knows that that wall is just ice and we can break through P1: "How did she know?" DM: "I just told you, she succeded on her intelligence roll." P1: "But..." DM: "I DON'T CARE, i wanna get to the next scene". All in all the scenes feel disconnected. Everything that is said and done is just so to make the next 2 minutes of screentime happen.

I've seen shills go "Killing people in the MCU is perfectly fine but twerking not ok". I'm paraphrasing but you get the point. All I have to say to this is that the show tries to present women as having it harder than men and are constantly being put down. Yet twerking is somehow so brave and heavenly? Yeah it just validates our points that the show is trashfire. And Rings of Power/Cringe will fail and Amazon will do whatever it can to make it look like a victory. But it's gonna cost them like over a billion dollars and their reputations are done after this. 4:13:25

So you cut off it's horn, painted it black and treated it like all the rest of the horses on the farm. Congratulations, you deserve your dumpster fire! Also isn't it weird that only these "5 star" reviewers on RT feel the need to attack/shame people for giving honest reviews? It's also weird that they all have the same bullet points in there reviews. Stunning visuals... I loved every... I can't wait to see... It's almost like they have a personal stake in how the show does or something.

So it takes the entire fellowship - Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas and the rest - to take down a troll in the original, infinitely better on every level version of Tolkien's work, but Galadriel can take one down solo? Pure hubris. This whole female empowerment movement has been handled terribly. They have no clue how to promote their message and make it resonate with the people. Laughable and embarrassing from Amazon.

I haven’t seen Rings of Power yet but watching a scene where the characters have to work together and struggle to take down an epic foe seems so much cooler (and it was an awesome scene) than one person dispatching one. If one person normal (since it sounds like the only power Guyladriel has is her dumb sword now) can beat a troll then I guess that troll was nerfed? Sickly? I dunno, just doesn’t seem to portray much a challenge is some normal with a blade can beat it alone.

It's real simple. Tolkien was a Catholic. Galadriel was based on the Virgin Mary; a woman well venerated by a good portion of the world, and who never had to be a warrior, or faux man, to earn our reverence. She epitomized the feminine role, which is as important and necessary as the masculine role. What Mary accomplished, as with most Saints, required her to put aside her petty ego, and live for something far larger than herself. That is something completely lost on the left, who feel entitled to everything as a right, and have no corresponding sense of responsibility. The main reason they want to interject themselves into masculine roles, is to continue to blur the lines on the male and female roles, and destroy the family role in general, but more specifically in those cultures where the family unit has proven to be the bulwark against tyranny; Christian Europe & those Western nations that arose from that tradition. The more they can decimate our demographics the more they can justify importing a profligate, and licentious new constituency that will eagerly vote for more and more handouts in exchange for abdicating any desire to keep the ruling powers in check. A docile citizenry easily lead around by their base impulses is the ultimate end goal of all of this Marxist infiltration.

It began with the forging of the Great Films. Threads were given by Tolkien, immortal, wisest and fairest of all beings, Rights were granted to Jackson, Great Miner and Craftsman of the Mountain of Lore. And nine, nine Hours were gifted to the race of Men, who above all else, desire Quality. But they were all of them deceived, for another Show was made. In the Land of Amazon, in the fires of Mount Prime, the Dark Lord Bezos forged in secret, a Master Flop. And in this show he poured his money, his greed and his will to dominate all Films. One show to ruin them all. For in the darkness fell Tolkien’s star, in Amazon, where no bathrooms breaks are.

Her armor gets removed, but as she goes to board and one of the boatmen puts out his hand to receive her dagger, she looks down at it, has her inner monologue, holds onto the dagger, turns, and leaves. Hobbits must be the next evolution of Harfoots, where only the ones who took a shower now and again survived.

Funny thing is in the German translation they fixed several dialogs so they would make more sense and as Germany has one of the best syncro industry the voice actors are so much better than the real actors it is baffling. One example of the top of my head would be as Elrond lies in the tree scribbling the kings speech and the other elvs come and talk about random stuff at first and then mention that Galadriell has returned so his reaction of "Why didn't you tell me that?" made a little more sense. Not very much, as they are still tellig him right in that moment, but at least they tried to safe it somewhat.

I can imagine a little room of humble German translators scribbling away at their desks, trying desperately to save some little pieces of Tolkien's world from the mindless, ravaging orcs of Amazon's 'creative' team

@@atomicdancer Could well be yes. The best story about our translators is about all the Bud Spencer and Terrance Hill movies, the German version is WAY funnier than the original Italien one as many jokes got inserted when the actors faces are not visible. These jokes became so popular that the German translation got retranslated into Italien and other languages and are now widly regarded as the besster ones. Image making a movie and some translators making it better to the point, you are just running with their version of your movie. If I remember correctly both Bud and Terrance are/were rather fluent in German.

When Galadrial yelled, "H2O" to Sauron's taunting of "Gatorade" was such a hit against the patriarchy.

The idea that there is no such thing as bad press is a relic from the many decades where there were strong controls on the distribution of media (aka newspapers -> Radio -> TV) but now that there are many different platforms open to the general public to distribute their unapproved ideas... the dynamic has changed and those industries (especially ideologues) who thrive on reviews are taking a very long time to adjust to the change. The show runners apparently forgot Tolkien's Elves aren't human! By the way Valinor where God, the maiar live? You seriously think they wouldn't be paying attention?
