Beyond! Loved this topic, Colin now I know that we have common ground on music & I also know that you play the guitar. So can you please upload a LP or RATM cover... but please make sure Greg is not doing the vocals haha. Lastly I wanted to ask who do you like more Chester Bennington or Mike Shinoda? Im more of a Mike Shinoda fan myself.

Disco actually continued in Europe long after it ended here. There's still new disco albums coming out in Europe. After 1979 what disco became here was the early stages of house music. So technically music with an 'untz untz untz' 4 on the floor 4/4 time signature is just a distant relative to disco.

I'd love to hear Colin's thoughts on the state of hip-hop today. A lot of people think it's all crap (because it's too mainstream), but in my opinion there are still great rappers out there. You just have to dig through a lot of mediocre stuff to get to them.

I loved the talk about Rage Against the Machine and the mention of Chili Peppers. Not many people think of them as rap rock, because they're not anymore, but their early stuff had a lot off rappin' in it...So I suppose early Chili Peppers or RATM is my favorite rap rock...

The first two Linkin Park Albums were great! After that they went downhill very fast! The Bee Gees were also very popular in the 60s and they then changed huge, Barry Gibb became the lead singer as the high voice guy, before there music was very sad.

Limp Bizkit's version of Mission Impossible theme is still on my playlist. What a terrific song. Fort Minor (w/Mike Shinoda out on his own) was still close enough to Linkin Park. No love for P.O.D.? And the best mashup ever? 'Collision Course' with Linkin Park and Jay-Z. Six tracks of awesomeness.
