Never thought of putting nutritional yeast on mash potatoes. Definitely on my list of things to try.

If you've ever seen them grow the stem is the bottom. And especially if you're eating them green it's easier to open from the nonstem end

I cut up tofu, drizzle 2 caps of tamari, place on parchment paper. Cook it at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes. Great sub for snack and on salads. I buy 6-8 packages every time we go to Walmart. We use our instant pot almost everyday. I love nutritional yeast on my cooked zucchini or yellow squash. We do smoothies everyday using a Wolf blender. When it dies, we’ll either buy another wolf or Vitamix blender.

😐 I just gave up potatoes because I packed on pounds and plaques, and I put almond milk in my mashed and cinnamon on my wood stove baked, and now you’re saying potatoes aren’t fattening. OIL JUNKIES!🚨 I spent years searching for a non stick cooking vessel. Non Teflon. The Lodge ceramic coated cast iron pot does it all! And you get an upper body workout using it too! 💪

Depends on the potatoes. Yukon gold or yellow fleshed is best. It also depends what you put on it as a dressing. Also the fingerlings and mini gold potatoes are best. Also sweet potatoes are always better than white potatoes.

Potatoes are like 3-500 calories a lb so that's not making you put on weight. Look at a calorie density chart

All you have to do is see a great ape or even a monkey open a banana: always the bottom side (they are banana experts)! Also, my big craving is butter, especially on potatoes. Currently use Benecol or vegan substitutes, but would like to go healthier (less fat) if possible; any suggestions?

There are green (romanesco), white, purple cauliflowers... There are always lots of leaves around the "flower" and they are green. I get them from the organic shop and I eat all the leaves (that compensates the higher price). For instance, I blend them into a soup or put the tender parts in kimchi. The leaves of broccoli taste better and go well in stir non-fry. Leaves of radish and beets are great too.

My concern which i would really like addressed if you can. Dr Michael Greger doesn't advise using an air fryer for Tofu for carcinogenic reasons. Can you address this issue as it would make our life easier and cheaper than using the oven but I dare not do it cos of what he has said. Thanks

Does potatoes have to be organic?
@kengaskins5083
@kengaskins5083 Жыл бұрын
I don't think so. You can wash thoroughly then peel them. If the potatoes makes "The Dirty Dozen List" put out by the EWG (Environmental Working Group), then you may want to consider buying organic if it works for your budget and it is locally available. Just my humble opinion on the wonderful potato.

I recently learned that, if possible, it's better to eat organic food because of the environmental impact of chemical pesticides.

The trick is, I learned from Jane, Rip's sister, is to crumble it into a ball then spread it back out because it makes it easier to fit and stay in the pan.

That's really been dispelled if the tofu isn't overly processed. Just look at the Japanese: virtually no breast cancer for women (as one example) before eating more dairy & meat fairly recently. The Blue Zone diet of Okinawa is a good example.

Don't pick on mushrooms, they're wonderful and 2 lbs a week greatly increases lifespan (I heard this as I recall on Zoe, Plant Based Strong or The Physicians Committee). But I understand, not a big fan of eggplant...yuck!
