Hello and welcome to the TCEC season 18 superfinal between Leela C Zero vs Stockfish, As expected this two engines will battle for the throne in 100 games. Today I wanted to show you a great tactical game played by S Leela C Zero vs Stockfish in the Gligoric system of the King's indian defense

I enjoy watching these engine games, but, I want to know at which move in the game the engines begin making their own moves. So, for future games, please make some sort of comment like - the engines are now playing the game or making their own moves.

The weakness of any popular variation of Sicilian (Najdorf, Accelerated Dragon, and Hyper-Accelerated Dragon) always comes at the center of the board especially the early move of the d7 and e7 pawns challenging white's pawn (e4 and d4) and delaying to Castle on the Kingside of the board. Stockfish really show how to refute a Sicilian whenever the e7 and d7 pawn immediately challenging the center pawn of white e4 and d4 without castling first and setting the rooks at the center (Re8 and Rc8). After white response with Nf3, the superlative response is g6 if black wants to play the Dragon Variation and a6 if going to Najdorf setup. Nowadays, the immediate move e5, e6 (Scheveningen), d6 (Paulsen), and d5 (Taimanov) were refuted many times in the tournament and as well by Chess Engines. These moves somehow are already outdated and need to revise. I think I give my thoughts in your previous video on your play with Sir Teimour of the d5 move setup. I really like how you explained your analysis in the game. This is the reason why I always give my opinions and thought in every opening you explained unlike on the other chess subscription channels.

We must be true to ourselves regardless. No matter what Alpha, Leela, or 'The Fish' do, if the Naijdorf is your game, play it. Kramnik said that the London System is nothing even after Carlsen beat him with it. It's not 'The London', it's Carlsen. "Familiarity breeds contempt!" For example, if I were to add up all of the thousands of games played in my life, I'd find that my greatest success was with the King's Gambit and the French Defense. I haven't played either since 2000! Why? Because I know what's wrong with both systems and decided not to play them anymore. I don't like playing against the Caro-Khan or the Sicilian, so I don't play 1.e4, at all...ever! The best opening book I ever read is 'Understanding the Grunfeld by Jonathan Rowson. I met Rowson at a World Open in Philly and said, "The more I understand about the Grunfeld, I understand, not to play the Grunfeld!" I thought that was funny but he walked away from me. I thought that was funny too. I still love the book and Rowson but I'm not playing the Grunfeld! My point? If we let super engines and elite GMs dictate our approaches, we'll always be starting over. Who has time for that? But sometimes a line is busted and we must change. The Naijdorf isn't busted, the new and improved Stockfish is just superbad...heck, any version of Stockfish is superbad! Oh...and...Chess is the best, of course!

I didn't do well against the Najdorf..this will be helpful.. But never have I seen a crisp explanation on Why the moves.. Thanks..learning a lot...I am sure to wish u Happy Teachers day😅..an excellent one at that..

At 9:22 I believe the suggested Rd7 is no good because of Qh1+ forcing the R back to d1, repeating the position.

Audio quality is poor. You might try investigating the setup that Agadmator uses. I think you need some kind of baffle in front of the microphone.

Game 8 was even better. The game looked like Tal and Morphy has come alive. Stockfish is outplaying leela to some extent in pretty decent openings actually which we didnt see in previous season.

Thanks for the video! A question: at 9:13 why after Qxc6, Cd7 is a bad move? Qxd7 Rxd7. Kxd7. And black have two rooks and a bishop against a queen. White can win a bishop, but two rooks are still better, aren't they?
