I get this question a lot, “Michael, how do you really rise up in the ranks?” People have always been wondering how did I become a Capo, back when I was still part of that life. And these questions are usually coming from younger men. In this episode, I’d answer that question in the hope of helping everyone who’s eyeing to rise up in the ranks in all walks of life.

God bless you Michael. As a retired NYPD police officer, now criminal defense attorney, I cannot tell you how incredibly valuable your voice is to our youth. American society has really lost its way, as of late. Creating value in yourself and the whole concept of self worth and self esteem is a much needed lesson for this younger generation. Keep up the good work.

Michael , I have been following you for quite some time now and of all of your videos and podcasts that I have seen from the sit down with Sammy and P.B.D. I have been hooked on your content. With that being said , this video might not have been one of your longest but it definitely is full of great advice. My wife and I have been struggling financially and going through some tuff times and sometimes it seems like there’s no light at the end of the tunnel but every time that I have been in that situation where I don’t know what else to do and I’m just ready to give up , the good lord always come through for us. The biggest mistake we make is forgetting to get down on our knees for 5 mins everyday and be thankful for everything we have rather then be sour for the things that we don’t have. When you said that you have to bring some value to the table I really felt that. I have worked as a roughneck In the oilfield for 9 years and now I’m working in the Wind industry doing wind turbine construction and technician work. I have been trying to put my self in a position where I could get into a supervisory / management role to have a better much needed income. Sometimes it feels impossible to get a position like that these days with employers asking for a degree and 10 plus years of experience all for less than mediocre pay. Your wisdom and knowledge just reminded me that I do have experience and Knowledge and know how with a excellent work ethic to bring to the table. It’s just a matter of finding the right person who will see what you have to offer and that’s willing to give you the opportunity. God willing I will find that opportunity and when I do I’m going to run with it. Keep the great content coming , your doing a hell of a job. You and Jordan Peterson are 2 of the biggest figures that keep me motivated and going everyday so when y’all had that sit down I couldn’t believe it. I listened to the whole thing on a long drive to work and it was awesome. The world needs more men like you guys to help motivate and keep those of us that struggle going. I would love to be able to see you in person one day. Take care and Keep a bind on it brother.

Michael I worked in large corporations for roughly 50 years and you have to prove your value every day of your employment. My last position I became disabled but not job related. The corporate VP insisted that the Hospital CEO make a bunch of concessions like sending me home anytime he saw I was not well. When I left the company I wrote the VP thanking him for all the concessions and he replied, " the company gifted you nothing, you earned everything with your hard work and dedication". I was never short one cent from my pay or PTO even though many weeks I was there 2 or 3 days. If they neede my presence they would call me at home.

maybe one day you could do a video explaining why the Columbo family didn't support your family while your dad was in jail. I thought that back in those days the mafia supported underbosses and bosses family if they were in prison at the time / helping keep there rackets and businesses afloat while behind bars. Love the videos man! Been with you since 50K Subs

Very good lesson. I don't like the idea of being in debt long term (which I have never been, because I manage my money to the cent.) But I hate it when someone else is in debt because of me. And this has always worked out for the best. Because people know that I don't mess about and care about these things. As you said: sure, times might be rough, but eventually it will pay off in the long run. Character over pennies.

You're so right Michael, lots of young men, I don't know if it's more so now cause I'm only 23 so I can't say for before me, but I will say I didn't have a traditional father. I had a single mom who was more like a older sister. Fortunately for me, I just so happened to live and grow up in the same house as my great grandfather. Born in 1927, he taught me so much about being a man and although I didn't realize it until I got to high school, but I realized he was my father pretty much. I was very lucky, lots of kids aren't. I think what you try to do is great, I know it's helped me. So thank you and please keep doing what your doing.

Michael I am addicted to your videos and stories about mob life. I'm 82 now and have met many wise guys. My father DR Sebastian P Vaccaro MD was a medical doctor. In 1946 when Vito Genevese returned to the states he came to Asbury Park NJ first before moving to Atlantic highlands. My father was his doctor and I found Vito's patient card in his file. My grandfather was a landscape gardener and took care of Willie Moretti's estate in Deal N J. I think it was around 1950 as a kid working for my grandfather at the Moretti estate when Willie came out and brought me into his home for cookies and milk. I always remember grandpa saying that when Willie paid him in cash and that the money had a funny smell to it. I also remember black cadilics parked in the driveway, it was later that I learned that Frank Costello was a frequent visitor. Twice a year I would take trips to fish in Bimini Bahamas. On one such trip I met Tony Acardo "Big Tuna" as luck would have it we both had the same fishing captain. Capt jimmy Albury and his boat the Falcon. I arrived one day early and met Tony at the Bimini Big Game Club. When he left Capt Jimmy said those guys at the other table were FBI Agents. Would love to chat also about your faith as I really have a story.Johnny Cash and I were friends for 30 years. After not attending church for 20 years he got me to go back to church and it saved my life.He was my business partner and we owned a hotel in Asbury Park.To make sure that I went to church the last 5 times he came to the hotel including the Sunday after being inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame the night before at the Waldorf in NYC he came to Asbury Park to go to church with me.He was Baptist I'm Catholic. When he died I was a pallbearer at his funeral.

My pops used to tell me stories about how his dad, my grandfather (who died before I was born) used to run the books for the Lucchese Family and used to pick up a check at a corner cafe like he worked there. Never believed the stories until he showed me pictures of some Lucchesse Family members with his dad picking him as a kid from school a black 1950 Cadillac. My father wound up working a corner for Nicky Barnes…. Taught me a lot of street wisdom but always said how it was never worth it, to stay clean. He always told me stories and what he respected from the families and for me to learn from was, always follow the rules and you will be ok and successful with your boss whether it’s street boss or legit company boss, always follow the rules and accountability for what you do. Miss my dad RIP

Hey Mike your content is amazing, I’m 24 and I’m from South Africa , I admire the way you speak and such a good communicator and speaker and very outspoken , I always wanted to see your view on how the mob was very good speakers and very outspoken cause in that life I’m sure you have to speak your way through everything , mob meetings extra , how does one develop those characteristics I wonder , or is it a Italian thing
