I'm actually having alot of fun with this game. I was worried after some of the reviews. Great video Rurikhan.
@TheXpertGenius836 ай бұрын
Never trust the Majority of these reviews. Most seem unbiased but they are biased as hell. Some of the same people who give Rise of the Ronin back handed complaints are the same ones hyping up and praising Dragon’s Dogma 2 at release with all its shortcomings and micro transactions. Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be a GotY contender but not at the way it releases and definitely not with the micro transactions for a single player game. But thing about the hypocrisy for a second. Look at every back handed compliment they’ve said about Rise of the Ronin and look at their stance on Elden Ring. It’s like make it make sense

@@TheXpertGenius83i...just dont understand this perspective. Reviewers usually arent trying to trick you (wherever they are). Honestly, its more about finding a reviewer or set of reviewers you align with. Like i like Rurikhan and come here for one perspective on recent games to see what might be interesting. I'll also go listen to Remap because i tend to find their views entertaining and helpful. There are other reviewers I will never agree with, but I dont think its cause they are malicious or trying to trick me, but rather is just they have different perspectives and focuses, which, good! Theyll help someone very different than me, and im happy they exist.
@TheXpertGenius836 ай бұрын
@@sprintz33 Some are not trying to trick you but many are. Take for instance Dragon’s Domga 2. All reviews came out praising the game but when people got their hands on it send that it was poorly optimized (a little better on consoles) and the micro transactions that’s flooded in the game with stuff you can get in the game if you just play through it. Some tried to blame Capcom saying it wasn’t in the Review copies they got, but FightingCowboy proved they were lying because he got a review copy and the transactions were there. And Capcom told reviewers about paid DLC.
@sprintz336 ай бұрын
@@TheXpertGenius83 there is a huge difference between trying to 'trick' you and reviewers with near maxed out rigs having fewer instances of lag and performance issues not making a big deal out small performance hick ups (especially since many games these days get a day one patch). As is, my decent LAPTOP is playing it just fine. And while mtx were mentioned to them they are so common in all modern games, since like. Oblivion (and honestly, most of them looking like dumb things nobody should buy) many ignored them as par for the course bs in gaming. That is the definition of having a different, equally valid perspective.

His guide is always a day or more later than other guides. I've pointed it out so many times and I do believe much of what he shares that is more obscured from the average player is taken from others and I'd almost say it's a certain due to when other people have been wrong in something and he also says the same thing. The odds that they thought the same when it was clearly wrong I'd argue is due to taking the work other others and in a way with the amount of content he releases I understand.

Note on pilgrim dogs: they will (very) rarely bring back good equipment but their main function is to get you more silver: 500 = 1 silver; 3,000 = 3 silver; 10,000 = 10 silver. Also petting random pilgrim dogs in the open world will grant you 1-3 silver each time and generally a pilgrim dog you can pet will spawn near veiled edge banners (or a campfire if no banner is present) in unruly areas immediate upon clearing them. Silver being the rarest currency in the game and what is needed for black marketeers and traders it's definitely worthwhile to use pilgrim dogs to amass it.

I don't know where the developers got the idea that sending cats out on missions was a good idea but....anytime I have ever commanded my cats to do anything they just do whatever the Hell they want. Generally it is the opposite of what I wanted. "Go get me a soda from the fridge" means- scratch the furniture, attack the paper towel monster, and sleep in the middle of the floor. Oh but they are great at giving orders like "feed me now slave!" Any refusal on my part results in reprisals like biting my toes while I'm asleep. It's a very effective method at getting my attention. That will teach me not to give them dry food over canned. I know, I know I am a monster.

I didn’t like Wo Long because of how reliant on deflecting it was. At least here, once you unlock more stances for your main weapon as well as the attack that triggers everytime you swap stances during a combo, in tangent with the ki pulse-esque mechanic, it becomes essentially Nioh gameplay where you can just constantly overwhelm the enemy with pressure. You definitely can kinda get away without ever or rarely deflecting in this game. The only problem is that human enemies are so uninteresting to fight with a fancy combat system like this.
