I remember listening to this when it came out in 2007 when I was 19 and living in my parents basement still. I'm 35 now. Where did the time go? 😂 Thanks to help from these guys and other Christian bands like them, including some amazing family, friends, and scriptures, I ripped myself free from a dark road I stumbled and crawled down for many years. When I was at my lowest, I bared my soul open in total humility and asked God Almighty for help. I felt him reach down inside me and fill my spirit with infinite strength and energy -- a literal infinite wellspring of life. I grabbed onto Him and never let go. On that day I quit everything cold turkey after a decade of drug and alcohol addiction. This year I am 10 years sober from alcohol, hard drugs, and cigarettes. Thank God I am alive to write this message and somehow have the most beautiful wife , farm, animal sanctuary, and life imaginable. All praise and glory be to God Almighty. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. I'm going to hope for you, I'm going to pray for you amongst the wreckless and the black. Salvation lies within.

When I first heard this type of music I was 13. I never knew screaming could be used musically like this 😂 but for some reason I was hooked immediately because of drums at the start. First song I ever heard with this style was "Still Fly" by these guys. So weird haha

TheRoadTo$wag Yeah they're just maturing haha. At the very start i was kind of effy on the vocals cause i have never heard such a thing before. What kept me listening was the music. I just liked the intensity in it. Thanks to Danial Williams or i would of stopped listening to then after that song lol that double bass drum saved them a fan haha

This album has Mike's nastiest vocals. The intense highs and pig squeal lows make Plagues one of their most unique and potent albums. Transit Blues is their best vocal album in recent years imo.

@@tunnelsnakesmediazombie EP is great but it was recorded post 2007-08, which is when Mike's voice changed from constant abuse of touring with no rest. It's exactly why his range is amazing, the best its ever been on their first 2 records. Both His high screams & low gutturals changed quite bit after 2008. Can't go nearly as high as he used to with that throaty rasp & his lows sound super airy(not in a good way) like he's just yelling with a low voice & some rasp. Not guttural AT ALL, doesn't even do the squeal anymore because he can't. Same with Oli sykes One of the greatest screamers ever to completely ruining his vocal chords. Sad.

Back when TDWP was still good and blowing up, overshadowing UnderØath, other Metalcore and Deathcore bands were peaking and loving Core music with your friends wearing all black and having long jet black hair was the shit. My, my has time passed by quickly. Here's to all the fans of this music from the time this video was first released up until the Zombie EP. Old school Core bands will always live in people's hearts. Fast forward many years and your music taste has changed as well as yourself and you look back and remember how good times were. Not that there aren't any good times NOW.. The generational shift and change of society over the past decade has brought about a lot of new things and character within people quicker than ever seen before.

This is definitely not a faze'... but unfortunately it was and I now listen to artists like Imagine Dragons and Chris Brown. I sometimes come back and listen to these type of songs from the 2009 - 2012 period because I still appreciate them and I still love listening to them, but deathcore/metalcore/hardcore whatever, is no longer the genre I love. Keep listening to this kind of music man, keep it alive and keep sharing it. Unfortunately there's people like me who have floated away from this music. I still remember it, I just don't stick with it. Have a great day!

Always have been one of our favorite bands since we were 10 years old. You have influenced us to be doing what we love doing to this day, which is playing aggressive heavy music. keep making an impact on the music scene! - Strength In Numbers
