This is definitely my favorite SECRETS song. Not only because I can relate to it, but because they way it's structured makes is so catchy. A infectiously great chorus by Richard, excellent guitar work, and the guttural vocals from Aaron makes this song stuck in my head every time I listen to it. Kudos to you guys for giving me faith in the metalcore genre c:

Take me back to where we started Let's erase every memory and make it so we never existed These days will only end in shame Did you ever believe we'd be this way? Tearing down the structures that we made I think we need to make a change You can twist and turn me inside out But you'll never stretch what I'm about And everything you let slip Is pushing forward to a repeat exit Take back what we've done, we can start it all over Take me back to where we started Let's erase every memory and make it so we never existed Looks like we've been here before We're throwing punches, but we're missing all the marks I say we need to take a second to analyze what we've been missing Every time you cry I try to hide it but a piece of me dies Every time we try We always end up at each other's throats I can't escape who I am Take me back to where we started Let's erase every memory and make it so we never existed Don't try to hide all your demons inside Let me see who you really are Don't pretend everything's alright We knew we were dead from the start I don't expect you to understand It's time to take my life in my own hands I finally realize I need a fresh start We were always meant to fall apart We were always meant to fall apart Take me back to where we started Let's erase every memory and make it so we never existed Every time you cry I try to hide it but a piece of me dies

Excuse me while I throw up at you including Issues in that list. Tyler Carter has some amazing roles in certain songs and really carries the failed experiment in "post-pop-core". The majority sounds like Beiber tried to sing in a punk song. Loving Dayshell, MMF I'm more okay with as they have been kind of evolving through the genre and Hands like Houses is pretty cool and fits. But Issues? What? They're way more oddball than Secrets. Listen to the first 5 seconds, the rip in his voice as he wails is literally only found in this band.

@ChedoTheArtist9 жыл бұрын
jacob aramayo No dude, they have guitar riffs, drums, bass, clean vocals, growls. And since Asking Alexandria was obviously the first band to do that, they're a rip off. In all seriousness, they sound nothing like Asking Alexandria though. AND NO ONE HAS EVER RIPPED OFF AA INTENTIONALLY! They made the very basis of metalcore, grabbed it all, and threw it into a band. When you think metalcore, you should think AA! Because they did everything correctly! Electronic breakdown, high cleans, good growls, simple riffs with plenty of breakdowns, and of course, NOTHING BUT RHYTHM! It drives the music. Gives a very head banging feel. SO EVERY FUCKING METALCORE BAND SOUNDS LIKE AA IN A WAY Now that you've read, and or skipped my paragraph, I would like to thank the academy and all of our sponsors!

+Ryan Is Blind LOL their were other bands before Asking Alexandria who had that sound. I'm not dissing your point I mean what you're saying is right but I'm just saying there were other bands who had the same sound before Asking Alexandria. Attack Attack! were one of the early electronicore bands who combined electronic and metalcore together with a shit ton of electronic breakdowns and rythmic cleans and I See Stars being a pioneer of the elctronicore genre even though they've lost their posthardcore sound now. You're right though every band sounds like another band before them..
