Grab it on sale, often 50% off, I think it cost me about £20 and it’s super easy to learn. Fighting with it takes a bit though, doesn’t pull a lot of AOA, pitch axis is very bouncy when you ease off too quickly, and the guns are a bitch to aim, but it just makes success feel that much more rewarding.

The 3rd option for guns I find to be the most successful. Believe its some kind of APHEI. Really helps when there's not a whole lot of air targets and you want to strafe some tanks or something too

The issue with the other belts is that they’re a mix; HE and APHE are all just one type of round. The others are straight AP or a combat mix and in my experience AP is worthless and a mix means you might end up connecting with a worthless round. You only get 140 shots, can’t really afford for half of them to be useless. Would be nice if you could pick different belts per gun.

I like your thoughts about slowing down in the Farmer. The rudder even works at lower speeds to aim too. I can't play Enigma any more . Australia ping is 350 and the lag spikes ... It's over .

@@Bullet4MyEnemy it was 190 -200 in US and 350 now in Germany. I tried again to day and A2G is not a problem but I wonder if high ping could lag the whole server for everyone. Hope he moves it back one day.

@@rawnukles Tbh high ping shouldn’t be that much of an issue in a flight sim, it’s not an first person twitch shooter so it’s less about reaction times and more about planning; so long as it’s stable it just means you’d have to learn to lead differently - but lag in DCS is presented client side, so with higher ping you’ll be bouncing around for everyone else but they’ll look fine to you. I think 450+ is where I’d start to worry for other people’s gameplay experience of encountering you, but under that I think it should be largely fine. Honestly might be a bit of a win hack lol Server performance is in the toilet since 2.9, but once they’ve sorted it out I would give it a go - there’s an Aussie streamer called Rossmum who seems to get by ok.

How can you distinguish between server issues and people with high ping, or latency spikes?

Community consensus, it was a known bug that came with the last major update. Servers were having to change things to account for it, like respawning units less frequently, reducing player counts etc Also it would universally happen to everyone not just a minority, so that ruled out individuals’ ping.

I don’t think I’ve ever actually adjusted the lean forward/back axis since I set it up, just used the base default.

I think you may like DDCS Harcore server, its a BVR combined arms pvp server and the challenges and complexity become higher, creating a cool fluid enviroment, the only thing is that the server is in Beta version only, dunno if you play beta or stable version, but i think you will enjoy it

Enigma’s is only on Open Beta, I don’t think there’s much of a multiplayer community on Stable. I’ve had DDCS recommended a few times but I’m less interested in Fox-3 stuff

I don't know about the servers, I think it depends on where you play but ive never seen any issues even when playing in different states, but Montana and Utah have about the same server performance and have never seen anything wrong

I tend to save missiles too, except I use them when people try to extend away from the dogfight rather than 2v1. I will say though that I'm a few whole levels behind your ability to dogfight lol... Did you end up going back to 1080p or are you playing DCS at a higher resolution and using the ED Spotting or are you using the spotting mod enigma's was using before?

I’m at 1440 now, things are pretty good since 2.9. Well… The spotting at least, once they sort out the server performance issues I’ll be a happy camper.

I’m still on a 3700x but was able to get around 30-50fps before the update without running MT, I see up to 140fps now at 1440p. Though I do have a 4070ti, not sure how much of the shortfall it’s accounting for.

I'd love to get into ECS but have no idea which plane to even start with lol. I've heard the F-5 but I don't have friends that play the game. So I haven't put much time into seeing if that's valid. I just log into GS server and run around in the mountains with the su-27.

Your fuel gauge showed about 50kg (the round dial on the bottom of the fuel gauge) on the final... So I assume you where at around 30kg of juice when on the ramp xD
