I really like your videos, they are simple but entertaining. Not much added music, or garbage. I'm from Pennsylvania, and if we did something like this around here, we'd be thrown in jail, and the machines impounded. There is such a huge difference state to state!

Thanks for the compliments and feedback! it's pretty crazy how different every state is for sure! Wisconsin is pretty epic, there's huge trail systems throughout the whole state. I'm definitely going to get up northern Minnesota this season. Ive only ridden one trail up there and theres a ton of them apparently!

Awesome video, thank you for sharing your adventures with us! What kind of studs did you use? And how long are they? Do you have any problems with air leaking from tires after studs? Anything you would do different? Thank again and keep the videos comming!
@PeteHager5 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! I was fortunate enough to find these tires fully studded with the wheels on Craigslist. They’re Woodys snowmobile studs and I measured them and they’re an inch long including the lock nut. As far as I know the inside has a washer just like the base of the outside studs. They hold air for the afternoon but they slowly leak. I aired them up quite a bit before the ride and they lasted about 4 hours just fine. They work super well and I’ve been very abusive to them. They’re not as sharp anymore lol but they still work super good👍 I’ve used them in the woods and on gravel roads and haven’t ripped a stud out. I’m actually really impressed with how much they’ve handled. The only downside is the studs are super expensive. The original owner said he spent $700 on the studs. I would love to make a set next winter and make a video of the process

Another awesome video Pete! Got me wanting to do some river ridng with my side X side or even my quad. I have a question: how do you like your DJI Spark? I'm thinking of getting one soon and you are the reason why as I watched the one video you put it up and looked to see what kind of drone you had
@PeteHager5 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late response! I really like my DJI Spark! I wanted to use it on this video but I couldn't get any service when we were in the river valley. The nice thing about the spark is how small it is, I can put it in my backpack along with an extra camera and my tripod. A lot of the more expensive drones are considerably bigger so size is something to take into account if your moving around a lot! Battery life is about 15 minutes and I would definitely recommend getting a controller for it. I couldn't imagine using the touch screen controls on a smart phone. The drone will definitely be incorporated quite often in my videos once it warms up! Thanks for checking out my videos! :)
@viprgaming6415 жыл бұрын
@@PeteHager You couldn't get any service? How does it work then? I mean I know you can control it with the controller or even your phone but at what point and for what reason do you need service? Is service needed if you want it to auto track you? Auto track is one of the main reasons I was looking into it as I wanted one that had that feature that didn't get over $1000. If I get one I'll be getting the combo pack most likely which will come with controller and an extra battery
@PeteHager5 жыл бұрын
My phone said it was “searching” the whole ride. I’m not 100% sure on this but I think you need GPS signal so the drone has a home base for take off. This has only happened one time so far. Every other flight had worked just fine. I need to do more homework on it

@imDirecty5 жыл бұрын
hey so I need to riding quads and my dad is going to buy me a 2019 Yamaha yfz 450r or the raptor 700. what do you think I should get. I'm not going to do any competitive racing just might see whose faster between my friends. also I'm 5'6 and weigh 115. I would ride on dirt, sand, trails. I'm just very stuck and confused. what should I get.
@PeteHager5 жыл бұрын
Hmm that is a tough choice, your not the biggest so you may fit on the YFZ a little better but the Raptor sounds like it would be better for your riding style and environment. The YFZ is much wider and doesn't have reverse. These factors aren't a huge deal now a days with side by sides making trails wider but they're still worth considering. The YFZ is a high revving racer and the Raptor is a torquey trail machine. I had to make the same decision and chose the Raptor because I don't track ride anymore and I want to take this thing on big rides without worrying about reliability.
@imDirecty5 жыл бұрын
@@PeteHager I've heard people say that doing little jumps and fast turns on the raptor is sketchy since its heavy. is that a factor you experience. also is the raptor more reliable than than 450
@PeteHager5 жыл бұрын
@@imDirecty The machine can handle small to medium sized jumps without issue in its stock form. If you upgraded the suspension you could take it off big jumps without a problem. It all depends on how you set the machine up. Ive never had the sensation that the machine is overly top heavy. It's not as low as a 450 but it doesn't feel tippy when sliding or riding off camber terrain. I don't want to say it's more reliable because both machines should last a long time with regular maintenance. If you guys are buying new from a dealer and they have both machines I would sit on both of them for sure and also see if you can ride them potentially. That could also help your decision. At this point the only reason I want a 450 is so I can take it on a motocross track from time to time. The majority of the time I would rather be on my Raptor
@imDirecty5 жыл бұрын
@@PeteHager this is my first quad and I think the raptor will be a better choice for me since I will be riding around on trails. and dunes with friends. I just want a quad that will keep with them. they have 400 Honda and Yamaha 400. I rode a 250 with them and it didnt keep up and got caught on the dunes. so I just need this machine to have the power and reliability to get me through some tough obstacles.
