This river road is a beautiful ride, especially during the fall of the year. From Alton, ill. Noth. Great area to see tows moored right along the road as cap is moored. Thanks, Captain for your videos. Smooth sailing.

my cousin was a pilot for Norman Bros back in the day after they sold off the fleet he got a job on the Alton Belle as a pilot when the gambling boats still had to cruise up the river and back , long time ago

The Illinois Great River Road is as Scenic as it gets between Alton, IL, and Grafton, IL. Up North of Grafton is the Beautiful Pere Marquette Lodge. 🤔👍

Wow alot of Marine Radio traffic in that port. I live near Dubuque Iowa and you dont here much chit chat up here these days. When the big Marina's were active you heard quite a bit but not so much these days thanks to cellular.

It’s not bad. I noticed during video edit that local marina was also on our chosen working channel. Craziness is down around New Orleans. Three radios with constant radio traffic. You get good at filtering just what you need to hear.
