My hometown. When the record got caught they had a load of 40s out that 2 week period and they shifted them to other waters. A joke really but look it up. It had a huge concentration of 40lb plus pike and has done the record twice. However, absolutely rock solid fishing. And thats even if you can get on there as its very much who you know getting on the small list to pike fish it.

Fishing the big waters can be tough. If it produced record class fish I bet it gets s lot of pressure too. A lot of the lakes here are like that they get fished hard and it's tough to catch. Off to a good start on the pig shad though. Cracker 10kilo Ady had, looked like a gator. Hope the fundraiser meet goes well. Wish I could go.

+Huntnfishnuts This place has been closed for 6 years because after it did the record, it got lots of pressure and then seemed to suffer. They opened it only recently but only for a few days, twice a week for 2 months. Not sure what will happen next year. It will have a big fish or two in it somewhere no doubt. cheers pal

+River Piker it looks like a trout fishery? If the pike are eating the pellet fed trout there will be a giant in there. Might be a good place for a line through trout. Tight lines

+WorldWide Fishing thanks buddy. Lots of water to cover with depths from 5ft to 100ft so we had so much water to cover. Not easy in one day so we had to do our best.

+River Piker yeah, when you have large amounts of water like that it's very hard to track fish. When I was in Sweden in late spring the water levels were very high making fishing difficult. On the top of that I didn't have any fish sonar equipment so I had to locate schools of fish on my own.

+WorldWide Fishing That's not easy at all mate. You need the sonar, finding features, depths and fish otherwise you need lots of luck.

I was curious and checked the site of the Llandegfedd fisheries , ....always thought , that over here in Germany we anglers are suffering too many limitations , but looks like you fishermen over there in Great Britain are not much better off either .Kinda funny to me to be limited to two certain weekdays and also at given daily hours , .....but found it of advantage , that outboards are included in the hired boats , but why the heck trolling must be done by oar power ?But why should I even complain , ........on too many smaller and medium sized lakes over here no outboards nor trolling is permitted .Nice clip , I've enjoyed watching ,......greetings , Dieter

+61diemai Lots of restrictions mate. This place was closed for 5 or 6 years and only opened this year for those trials. The idea is so it does not get over fished and the pike suffer because of it. Problem is there's lots of water and you don't have much time to figure it all out, which is a shame. Would love to have a week or so continuous on there to see how we got on. Part 2 on friday you'll enjoy that ;)

No mate, and it's not that far from us either. Did you see the big one came out again recently? Super fish. MAybe we should give it a go one day

Yeah, 41.5lb or something. Monster!! Our lasses parents have a caravan in brid. We go there a few times during the summer. Ill be taking a trip to the lakes each time we go from now. (only taken up fishing again recently). I read that the 40lber isn't in the predator lake either. Pretty cheap really. £8 a day and £10 for a boat. Worth a bash.

thats perfect for you then mate. Yeah i think the big girl lives somewhere else, she also manages to evade capture for a very long time. Worth a bash for that price mate, there's a few other chunky fish in there i'm told.

ha ha. Mate i've done that before. going back a year or two i spotted subtitles and though that would be good so i watched a video to check. Can't remember which video it was, but I was apparently talking about a cure for cancer and all sorts of other random magic. I'm going to watch this one now and have a chuckle! cheers bud
