We only hear and see what the media chooses to show us. This interview is telling in that he admits Michael Hutchence didn’t kill himself. Also, I loathe when people say that BG was a good guy to "take on Tiger Lily".. I don't know why he adamantly fought for custody of Tiger Lily, but he won the custody battle with MH family. Maybe it was for the best or maybe not.. Nobody really knows the intimate truth of TL's life. It is a tragic and sad love story... Everyone involved got their hearts' broken in a million pieces. We all can agree 100% on that. The rest is a mystery to the fans of MH & PY. I hope they are together wherever Heaven is. BG did marry again and I wish him happiness and peace.

Bob's a decent man. The loss of Paula broke his heart - he's said that he still loves her and always will. Paula and Michael had no right to try to obtain custody of the three daughters of the marriage. She wanted Michael, Tiger AND her three older daughters. Yet her sudden descent into hard drug dependence - which in itself would have prevented her being given custody - began with Michael. She was obsessed with him, literally crazed with love. The stress of her situation slowly destroyed both Paula and Michael. Michael's death finished her off. Poor Tiger was orphaned and the older girls robbed of a mother whose grief proved too much to bear.

@joebloggs6194 жыл бұрын
No. Bob is not responsible for all this misery. I don't think anybody is. It's just a whole lot of passions that took control of them all, like a raging river nothing and nobody could stop. ... And, poor Bob and little Tiger Lily were the survivors left to somehow try and carry on, and, of course other remaining family members from all their families, who would have also been devastated by all these deaths. It would be the worst imaginable emotional night mare, as a woman. You marry a guy you beleive you love, have his babies, set up a home, stay married all the years Paula and Bob did. And then along comes a hearthrob young dude who completely blows you away. You know it's wrong to desire himand you love your husband and family, but the passion is too intense to stop. You know you are headed for disaster but cannot stop. The brakes no longer work. It would be a horrific situation to be in for a woman and you hope it never happens to you because the tragic end in such scenarios is inevitable. What would I have done on such a predicament? Get some counselling alone with a therapist, I think. Refuse to see the hearthrob. Stay focussed on the good husband And family I already had, help the handsome dude find so.e other lover and then have them both as family friends, take up some new hobby to gocusd on something other than "him". These strong infatuations do pass in time... Once the novelty wears off. Or it is no longer a passionate, jot, illicit affair. But, I always maintain that if a wife sees her husband as her secret illicit lover and je sees her as his wicked mistress, not his sweet little virginal perfect wife, they have a better chance of a lasting happy marriage. They can act like respectable normal Mr and Mrs Blah, in public. To keep people from getting alarmed about unconventional marriage. But they can be as they wish in private. Everybody knows that mistresses and their illicit lovers have all the fun, but it can get a bit too risky doing such things in reality. So why mot turn your husband into your secret illicit loverman, fantasy man? And you be his mistress? I did try that on my much younger husband I once married but he got pretty annoyed with me and reminded me he thought he had married a proper wife. I told him I was no prim proper wifey wife type. Just a female who wanted a permanent loverman companion guy I could fool around with and get up yo all sorts of mischief with him.. It is possible to love and respect one fine man and then end up swept off your feet by another and be left wondering how the hell you could have possibly ended up in such an emotional mess.. Moral of the story? Locate your STOP button and press it before it's too late and you and those involved end up self destructing from dangerous passions. Or find a safer outlet for them. Read a romance novel or even write a few movie scripts about dangerous passions etc. Compose music about these. Do paintings.... A creative person csn always find a way to express such passions. But many choose the wrong way....

Poor guy... Inheriting all the ashes of this extinguished passion all around him... It would feel like emotional torture. But there's Tiger Lily, the living memory of it all, and the other children... To remember the good times by... Bob could feed off these good memories to carry on emotionally and somehow cancell out some of the emotional pain... I don't thi nk any of them deliberatrly set out to hurt each other. It's just how life sometimes happens. I know it is not slways a good thing to have too much passion in one's life, like Bob got. But the reverse, like d some people get, a life devoid of all such feelings would also be hell, of a different kind.What would I do in Bob's situation? Just accept what happened that cannot be undone. Cherish the good times had. They were special, never to be repeated, though a new lot of good times could happen, in a new story, perhaps with a new love, even in one's mature years... Leave that option open. Enjoy the legacy of the past eg the children, Tiger Lily, the child of such incredible passions... Bob would be very special to her. ...That's a form of love. Love does not have to be a person one is married to, though that can be nice... It can take many unusual forms and need not even involve humans. It could be love of abstract things, like ideas, thought, art, music, things that feel good, nature or even humanity, as distinct from individual people. We are often surrounded by love in its many forms, but we cannot feel it. Because we fail to notice and recognise it or we do notice and see it, but refuse to allow ourselves to feel its healing warmth and power. Because love hurt us so badly in the past and we fear it could happen again. Well, it could. But you don't have to give it permission to. You are in control of your feelings and who treats you how and can always locate your STOP switch and stop it all, if it is starting to hurt you too much. When one is young and inexperienced, it is hard to locate this STOP switch. But, as one matures and has had bad experiences with love, one gets better at knowing when to call it quits and vet out, before it's too late and too much emotional damage is done eg by bad, out control dangerous passions. Safer loving may not be as exciting. But it is not as scary as the other mind, either. And is better in one's later years, when vreater wisdom, stability and moderation can prevail. Noring, I know... That is why one needs imagination, art, music, creativity. To safely explore and enjoy otherwise dangerous passions, too potentially destructive to experience in real life.in the world of fantasies, you can be anything, be with anybody, do anything... Just make sure you always know exactly where the demarcation line between fantasy and reality is situated, to avoid insanity. It can easily become blurred, by various means... And don't try to act out your fantasies because they could be too dangerous. Or downright crazy, impractical, off the planet. But they are good to enjoy. Especially if one's current reality doesn't feel very good eg due to loneliness or poverty or ageing, grief, whatever. A bit of escapism can do wonders for the soul.

So true. She summons poor Michael to court to help her in her custody battle he shouldn't have been dragged into. Paula first blamed bob to the press: stating Hutchence was never into s&m & that depression from the negative press was wearing him down. Many of her friends cooberated this in the bio by Lovegrove who said Paula was fearful for Michael because he was at a breaking point. He renewed his antidepressants & saw a therapist in October 97 (coroner intervie) . Paula changed her story for $$ from tabloids & because - as was rumored at the time - the estate needed to cast doubt on his manner of death to obtain the life insurance money that couldn't pay out in the event of suicide. Although Paula said she as challenging the coroner's report, she never did.

People talk about the 'substances' Paula and Michael may have engaged in, but forget, the stress of the 'fight' drove them to at times, 'use' as a means to cope. This is common reason where addictions 'begin'. In any event 'using' people can be 'functional' users anyway. People who trash Paula and Michael for coping with substances, forget they were capable and still functional. No evidence any child was impacted. The press and unfortunately Bob's side intended to pretend they were not capable; this was the big lie among others that destroyed Paula Michael. I do agree to look after TL was a no brainer. He's very sensitive you can tell. He may not have shown it. He was trying to protect the kidsvduring the divorce. But it's sad it backfired in him in the end. He lost more than he bargained for. He only had three years with her Bob had 19 years with Paula. But her real love was Micheal for sure. She couldn't get over it.

The Hughie Green revelation was really too much on top of custody and Michael. She had been so close to her dad.

I think this whole dynamic is tragic. Bob loved Paula !! She was his princess. His true love. Paula was 'in love' with Michael. RIP Paula. Sir Bob shows his humanitarian side. Accepting Tiger is just beautiful. 🙏🙏🙏💖💖💖

I think it’s a shame they became involved and had a child together. Almost impossible for them to be together. She should have put her children’s feelings and well being before her own. This is why I dislike her!!

She wanted out of her marriage and said Bob had affairs and was controlling. Claire King said she had an affair with Bob and that they had an open relationship. "Wonderful" dad Bob sent his kids to school the day after their mother died and they weren't allowed to mourn, according to Peaches. Paula discussed leaving Bob in the Christmas of 93, before she hooked up with Michael. Friend Jo Fairley said a desperate Paula met in her car for an hour talking about wondering who'd take her where she had kids and wanting to get away from Bob. See Paula Yates Unruly Hearts Oliver James article.

Bob Geldof says it's a no brainer to take on his ex wife's child but not everyone would do that ...I loved the Boomtown Rats growing up and the concerts he put together for FEED THE WORD in the 80's...But he's a an extra special guy ...He's raised another man's child as his own and for that to me he's an inspiration ...
