Off topic but am I crazy to say Transcendence + warped echo and like 3 teddy bears is some of the best survivability in the game? It completely changes how the items work and I love it, feels like its not gotten notice with warped echo being bugged to say the least.

Yeah, when I realized the first hit from echo didn't remove your "out of combat" state I was shocked, plus it synergizes really well with on damage taken items in general since it lets them proc twice off of one hit

Luminous shot is also super duper busted on Railgunner and Mul-T. Railgunner just spams in and out of scope, and with Mul-T, just tapping his right nailgun in Power Mode stacks the buff almost as fast as Railgunner (and as a bonus, if you keep holding the left nailgun it won't consume stacks immediately; it waits until you release and use it after having stacked Luminous Shot)

I would like to tack on that Rex with the Self Damage Secondary skill is increibly good with Luminous Shot. You get a stack every .5 seconds.

I will say I appreciate your open-minded approach to the game, I feel like a lot of creators just play the same all the time with no variance and you put into words why i think the False Son is cool, universally good items are all well and good, but when an item that might normally just be mediocre or even bad is actaully super synergestic and powerful with a particular survivors kit,THAT feels really good breaks up the monotony of "oh boy how many crit glasses and atgs can i get"

False Son is a survivor that I wasn't expecting to become one of my favorites when I first played him. I absolutely adore his design and gameplay, and how he synergizes with some unusual items. In the future if Gearbox ever happens to polish him a little more, I will confidently say I have a new favorite survivor.

Something to note is that Lunar Spikes gained from growth start on cooldown, but backup mags don’t, which is why you can be super fast at the start of a stage

10:11 On that note, idk if it works differently on PC, but Luminous Shot will activate off of MUL-T’s secondary attack while in Power Mode! Nail gun will only proc off initial trigger pull, but rebar will proc it every shot! Idk how the other two work but it’s a really cool and fun combo!!

Theres also a bug where attack speed is retained on the laser ticks even through runs lol. Tested with debugtoolkit with tritips to count ticks and syringe stacks. 48 ticks at base. 241 ticks after adding a ton of syringe. Exit to menu and load a new run, still 241. Even if you play a fresh run this means temporary attack speed buffs like berserkers pauldron and predatory and tonic are much stronger than usual.

the lunar ruin counting as 2 debuffs also happened with collapse when sotv released, both are actually 2 seperate debuffs for the different components with one of them just being invisible. 5:25 also yeah, thats how level scaling works. every level your max health increases by 0.3 times the base value and all other stats that scale with level increase by 0.2 times the base value each level 5:45 no, that is NOT what it does, it stores xp seperately from your own level and the xp requirement for a level always starts at level 1 for the item. it effectively allows you to level up from level 1 again for only 20% of the stats

I’ve learned a thing with the false son which lets you use his laser for the entire duration, all you have to do is just charge it, let go of the button, then hold the button and it lets you use his laser for the entire duration.

I’ve tested the piercing shot. On a slope down, aiming slightly up, it can pierce but it’s very wonky. It misses a lot of enemies but still kills a couple

half-tech for his ooga booga groundslam: if you get some height and then activate it, you’ll do increased damage in a wider radius, and if you get high enough you’ll still have a bounce at the end. Even though gearbox removed charging up the ground slam infinitely, those other affects are built into the attack

on the topic of is charged m1: with lots and lots of attack speed, the grounder pounder wont connect with enemies or the ground, and not do damage. I’d guess the attack is resetting before it finishes the smacking part of its previous sledgehammer special. However, a jumping charged m1 still hits like normal so its whatever

and not really a secret tech at all but something to watch out for when using luminous shot with false son (which is kinda nice tbh): Charging up his m1 sometimes does a small regular attack right before he starts his charge, which can consume the luminous shot stacks prematurely. Sometimes it’s wort it to turn around to charge up and then 180 smash to get the big damages

Honestly, I prefer the Seeker over the False Son. Her healing from her M2 is very strong, and her alt M2 synergizes very well with Sojourn. Not only that, but Sojourn also synergizes very well with both Razorwire and Repulsion Armor Plates.

Chef and false son are oddly inversed. False son has a lot if depth for item synergies and tech compared to most survivors and is super strong but has really crappy and janky animations. Chef hiwever aesthetically looks pretty great but his kit is extremely meddling in synergies, combo potential, and tes chef is just 100% worthless.

Idk if someone else has already said this, but if you charge his beam and then hold the key again afterwards, it'll keep the beam going until its timer resets. So if you have bandolier and pick one of its drops up then itll end the beam but other words at the start of a run this can be helpful.
