I had a 2013 streetglide, went to Harley dealership and test rode a 2020 RGS 114...It was a wrap, and I only had that streetglide for 7 months, that ride was like night and day for me,and I'm a proud owner of a black 2020 RGS...and I absolutely love it!!!

I believe the SG looks better actually sportier than the RG

I have own both the road glide shines in slow-speed maneuvers and on the highway. IMO the RG handles better in all situations. Both are great bikes the SG offers better protection in the rain and cold weather. The RG cuts headwind better. I currently own a 2018 RGS. I don't see myself giving her up

I’ve owned both I currently own a 2020 road glide I still love the street glide but I don’t think I could go back to one after riding my road glide to me there is a big difference but u can’t go wrong with either bike

Awesome video! Road Glide all the way! Hehe especially if your into the performance bagger scene.... Something about the shark nose fairing with MX style handlebars a short pipe a high and aggressive stance and short bags says something to me lol 😂😂 but either way Road Glide or Street Glide they're both awesome bikes!

Being 6’4, I just felt more comfortable on the RG and the handlebars on the SG felt like it was in my stomach.

For me it is the Street Glide. I bought a left over 2019 SGS in Sept of 2020. At 5' nothing and 257lbs, the extra height to the RG was a deal breaker. Test rode the SGS and fell in love with the power of the M8. I was a 10 year rider of a Heritage Softail. This Street Glide was like moving up to a Cadillac. I do a couple of 1,000 + mile rides a year cross country and it was time for a touring bike. I have three friends who swear by their Road Glides. The overall theme I picked up from your review is it is personal preference. There is no wrong answer. You can't go wrong with either bike. I will say I do prefer the look of the SG over the RG, not going to lie :-) Good review.

Shout out for Tally HD. Great bunch of guys. Once my breakout is paid off i plan on getting one of the road glides. The frame mounted fairing has more cup holders than my car did.

I'm 70 yrs old and the only Harley I've owned was a 68' Sportster with a right hand shift. I hated that right shift. Since then I've owned Triumph, BSA, Honda 750's, A couple Kawasaki's and a Gold wing. Currently I have a C50 Suzuki. I really want to make the circle back to a Harley. Not sure which one. Road King & Soft-tail are the 2 I'm looking at the most. I hope 2021will be the year. I appreciate your comments on the Road Glide but the one thing I didn't like about my GoldWing was that Humongous Faring.

i rode both but i like the road glide better, when it comes to semi passing you with the wind with no buffering it the road glide.

You got it right, all about appearance and personal preference. I have a 2018 street glide special M8 107 engine, probably should have waited since they started putting 114 in the specials later but didn't know that was coming. I love my street glide and always liked the batwing faring. I did take a 2019 road glide on a test ride and it was very familiar, as you said. The ride was the same as mine just the newer radio. It handled just like mine. But I don't like the faring on them. Sorry to you RG lovers, to each your own, I like the batwing faring better. Great video, thanks.

I like the storage in the fairing of the RGS over the SGS, but I can not get myself to like the shark nose look. So I'm torn between the SGS and the Indian Chieftain.

Don't know what happened to ya and hope everything is ok. Hope you pick up doing the videos again. I like the looks of the street and my wife hates it but likes the looks of the road. Its fun and tru about the fact that one the fairing comes off its just a road king. Later.

Thanks for the kind words, Allen! The past two School years made it pretty difficult to keep up with my channel, and I’ve since relocated to South Dakota. The seasonal nature of weather up here makes it tough, too.

I don't care what the reviews say...I don't like the look of the 'shark" nose Road Glide...it's ugly (My Opinion Only). I love my "batwing" !

Nice review. You mentioned something that I am thinking as well. In considering the Heritage, Road King, Street Glide and Road Glide, the RG has a larger presence on the road and may be a little easier for other vehicles on the road to see. I am practically new to riding, having sold my last motorcycle 40 years ago, but in spending hours sitting on the different models, the RG to me just feels safer as far as maybe being in the sea of traffic.

It has a slightly bigger fairing but otherwise is the same exact bike

I was testing a RG a few days ago, I am 5,11 and the bike was really great to ride - BUT - the wind noise was terrible, it was not possible to hear the radio while driving at highway speed - and I had the volume at “full power”. The bike I was testing had the same windshield as on the bike you had on the bike you was testing. Next week I am gonna test a RG with a higher touring windshield, and it that’s good enough protection against wind noise I am gonna buy a RG. On the other hand I was testing a Ultra Limited a few weeks ago where the wind noise where close to not existing at all, but the bike look like a grandpa bike, and I am not that old. So maybe the SG could be an option if the wind noise on the RG with a touring windshield is to bad? Or I could just go with a Goldwing…

I like the street glide. I just think the road glide looks just a bit better.
@thrust99174 жыл бұрын
You really can’t make a comparison between the two while reviewing the Road Glide on city streets. The Road Glide shines on the Highway at Highway Speeds.
@TheTwoWheeledTeacher4 жыл бұрын
You’re totally right. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to take it out for a longer ride, but hopefully I will soon!

Need advice. I’m a first time rider. 6’3” 285lbs. Looking for a used street glide in silver. What year Harley should I begin my search?
@TheTwoWheeledTeacher3 жыл бұрын
Really depends on your budget. I’d recommend a 2014 or newer no matter what though. You’ll get the newer fairing style, the newer audio system, the one-touch saddle bags. I love my 2013, but the 2014+ bikes are an upgrade. Other than that though it’s about budget, aesthetics, and which motor you want. If you can find a 2017 or newer in your budget I’d take one of those

I don't get how all you KZbin people can make these reviews on a touring bike without going on tour with them. Go put a 500 to 750 miles in one day on each them do a review.
@TheTwoWheeledTeacher3 жыл бұрын
Believe it or not, dealerships don’t just let people take their inventory out on 500+ mile trips. I’m sure that’s super surprising to you, but no matter how nicely I asked they just wouldn’t let me.
@kentmccormick42303 жыл бұрын
My point is still valid, a review on a touring bike should be done on a road trip. The roadglide is supposed to be nicer on your body and you should feel less fatigue on long trips. I don't know but that's what I have been told by the dealer. I have rode from NH to Sturgis several times on my Dyna and now have a Roadking but yet to do as long of a trip on it.
