Nice to see Jackson on here. Some of my family is from this area, but I've never been. Thanks for sharing!

Between Woodrow Wilson ave and Fortification Street this part of Interstate 55 in called the Water Works Curve. The original plans before the Interstate system was to make this a US 51 Hwy by pass and the name for the curve the "Railroad Overpass Curve" because the GM&O RR ran under the bridge, but the tracks have been taken up. When the Interstate system came along they incorporated the bypass into Interstate 55. Most wrecks occur here...

Why isn't MS 25 marked as a route to Mississippi State? It is four-laned all the way to Starkville.

It was Robert Johnson, and not Tommy, who supposedly sold his soul to the devil at the crossroad of highways 49 and 61. Crystal Springs is the home of the Robert Johnson Museum.

Tommy Johnson (unrelated to Robert Johnson) also made that claim. I probably wouldn't have included that had their last names not been the same. I was familiar with the story of Robert Johnson, and probably didn't realize they weren't the same person.
