ROAD TRIP TO DENALI NATIONAL PARK: things to do along the way, Matanuska glacier, Talkeetna & more!

We are road tripping from Palmer, Alaska to Denali National Park in our 2013 Ford Transit Connect micro camper van! Along the way we stop to explore the Matanuska Glacier with Nova Alaska Guides before making our way to Talkeetna in search of their mayor, Denali the cat! We end the day making it to our camping spot at the Riley Creek Campground in Denali National Park.

Talkeetna is cool, bought a handmade Ulu. Saw Denali at the NP, and ~45min in to the park set-up and for aboot 15 min both peaks were clear. Got a pano. Yea rain and overcast, welcome to AK

All of the research said to get out before mid October as that is when the snow starts! We left at the end of September :)
