If u have the time plz read. This is what made me very sad/happy this week. Sadly last weekend there was a tragic car accident where 3 amazing people died in my town. The accident was caused by bad weather. All 3 went to my high school and I knew one of them pretty well. 2 of them were 17 and one was 18. There was one survivor who I believe is 17. Losing these 3 hit their families, friends, classmates, and community members hard. One thing that I think is amazing is how our community is coming together. Business are donating to the families and go fund me pages have been set up. Around 130,000 dollars has been donated. Schools from across the state of Montana have reached out and gave there condolences. Even the rivalry schools in town have planned to wear our school colors on Friday to support the families and the school. It’s truly amazing to see our community and our state come together to help these families and to remember the people who lost their lives way to soon. It makes me emotional. My prayers go out to the families.

Love to be living in America as ya can travel around, here in Ireland we are still in lockdown since Christmas until summer time which is ridiculous I think. I miss my friends and my boyfriend Damien but I can't get to see them so not fair. If I win the lottery one day I am buying a house in Florida. I love the heat. What made me angry today was people are taking the plants and the bulbs that I planted around the lamps posts in the park last year. It's a shame.

You don’t. You only have to enter your zip code to pay with a credit card at the pump. If you pay with a debit card or pay with cash, then no zip code required. Now, this zip code requirement is because the US is so far behind in adopting chip and pin credit cards - which for all practical purposes - don’t exist in the US. We have chip cards now, but they are chip and signature, not chip and pin. And most gas pumps use the swipe, not the chip. That’s why they require the zip code. It’s for extra security.

@@rlfrohs6123 I’m in the US too. The chip in your card isn’t used on most pumps. They are using the strip, and they are asking for the zip code as a security feature. It doesn’t work very well, obviously. If you pay by debit, the pumps ask for your PIN number, not your zip code. It’s not using the chip here either, just the strip. If it’s asking for a zip code, it’s using the credit feature. In Europe, Canada, and nearly everywhere else, credit cards use chip and PIN technology. You insert the card, it reads the chip and then you have to enter the PIN number. While it sounds similar, it’s different and much safer. The strip can be easily replicated by a card duplicator but the chip can’t. Of course, the next think is the “tap” or “contactless” feature, which has no real security features if they have your stolen card.
