No idea who she was at the time but with heels she might be about 5 feet tall. But she just owned the stage. The songs are just catchy. Especially if you grew up in the 80s. Super glad you were finally able to check these guys out! They are one of my favorite bands alongside Sabaton and Powerwolf and I really think they deserve more attention. Noora's voice is incredible, for sure. Personally, out of the three singles released from the upcoming album this was actually my least favorite, but I still really like it. They have all been great so far. If I would have chosen a song to introduce the band to someone I would have probably said "Straight To The Heart" from their 2017 album Bringer Of Pain (there is also a really cool live version of that song from the Tuska Utopia online event I highly recommend checking out).

Nice, the last show I saw pre Covid was the Kansas City stop on that same tour. Noora's energy level is off the charts and she attacks the stage and I ended up liking Battle Beast more than I expected going into the show. It was the 5th time I'd seen Kamelot (2 with Tommy (including the Denver Nightwish singalong experiment with Alissa White-Gluz and Elize Ryd) immortalized in Learn the Setlist in 48 Hours tour doc), 2 with Roy, and a stop when Fabio Lione filled in) and 4th for Sonata, and they both delivered their usual tight, consumately professional sets, so Noora and BB were definitely the standouts in my mind.

I discovered this new song through your video, I've only been watching the two first singles from the new album before, Master of Illusion and Eye of The Storm. My favourite song from Battle Beast is still Into The Heart of Danger, but I don't think there is a clip for that One. And live performances are amateur filming quality so... But Noora is one of my favourite female singers when it comes to powerful voices. Brittney Slayes stays my number 1 in that category, but Noora is really good. Seraina Telli and Laura Guldemond (both former and current vocalists of Burning Witches, Seraina now leads another band, Dead Venus, which I'm not yet familiar with. She also is in a cover band of Roxette called Roxxxet) are also very impressive. But Burning Witches are another genre, it's more Classic Heavy Metal. Noora always refers to her raspy voice being inspired by Janis Joplin who is her idol. The high note at 9:28 is something new to me. I don't remember that kind of sound coming from Noora becore. This song sounded like "OK" at the beginning. But from the moment you thought a second chorus was coming but there wasn't, this song became really cool to me 👌

Our flight had been changed to an earlier time, so there wasnt much time between our shuttle bus back to the airport and the flight. Got to the oversized luggage drop off point to find BB checking their gear in :D Love them tho - first saw them supporting Nightwish in 2013 (with the original singer) and many times since, Noora is such a powerhouse of a singer, her voice is stunning (she released an excellent Solo album last year). Glad you finally checked BB out, tho i thnk they have a lot better songs, and live they are such a high energy band. My personal favourite song by Battle beast is Kingdom which is from their self titled Album "battle beast" and highly recommend checking it out. Although I may be a bit biased because it's about the ever incredible manga series of Berserk of which Anton is a massive fan and wrote multiple songs in battle beast and still does write songs in Beast in Black about the story. Also it's kinda crazy how Anton first managed to find Noora who is an outstanding singer then when founding beast in black he managed to find a male singer who is just as incredible, namely Yannis Papadopoulos in especially in his high notes he is incredible (he has even covered Nightwish's ghost love score on his youtube channel which not many male singers can pull off)
