Vlad is such a great drummer. It's amazing to me that he is a classically trained pianist that only learned drums to play in Jinjer. He is spectacular, especially in a genre that is overflowing with complex time signatures. His drum kits speaks volumes. So simple. A snare, 2 floor toms, and a bunch of symbols. He also is right handed and plays open...so he's probably damned close to being ambidextrous. He's the only one in the band with formal music training.

Nice reaction Tank, welcome to the world of Jinjer. Don't feel bad, I've only discovered them 6 months ago and I've been listening to metal for over 40 years. They are easily in my top 10 favorite metal bands ever. Quick thing about Jinjer, they are from Ukraine, their names are Tatiana (vocals), Eugene (bass), Roman (guitar), and Vlad (drums). They have actually been around since 2009. Tati gets the most attention because of her insane vocals, but make no mistake, the guys are phenomenal musicians. There are several great female metal vocalist/growlers out there, but for me, Tati is the best, period. Enjoy your Jinjer journey bro, everyone of their songs are unique, some are super heavy, some not so heavy, but all of them are fantastic. Peace and as always, stay Metal. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🎶🎶🎶🎶

Hope to see more Jinjer + excited for more Spiritbox -- they are Jinjer-approved by the way lol. All 4 of them are top-tier at what they do. Personally, I love the way having just a single guitarist sometimes lets Eugene on bass step up to fingertap melody while Roman on guitar creates a lush soundscape. Vlad's a beast on the drums too- I find his allergy to 4/4 amusing sometimes- even when it has to be there sometimes for a big chorus, he gets bored & diguises the fact! LOL btw, I'm guessing not many bands have a drummer who's a trained pianist, & who is also convincing on guitar & bass, & has deep compositional skill. And Tatiana is a generational talent with her many voices, obviously. Also, considering English is a 2nd or 3rd language for these guys, their lyrics put many natively-English-speaking bands/artists to shame. Truly a multiple-lightning-strike band imho. Tremendous. :)

From what I understand this version was recorded this way specifically because they had recently added the drummer, Vlad, and they liked the way he played this song (it is a bit different from the album version). I always say this is mostly the introductory/surprise factor song for Jinjer and most people who stick with them, I think, tend to cite other songs as their favorites. To my ear their official live recordings are some of the best sounding live recordings I've seen. "Who is Gonna be the One" seems to have been suggested a bunch already but I also particularly enjoy "Captain Clock" live at Resurrection Fest 2018 which I don't think I see as often.

@@Kakashi19-69 I don`t think she is just going in like it is nothing. I mean, a concert takes up to two hours of jumping up and down, waving, being present, singing, shouting etc.. She is not just hopping in and do it like it`s her morning routine. She grew up with being amazed by artists like oteph (who she mentioned to copy alot in her teenager years in front of her mirror) and copied them. Screaming, growling singing is a very technical thing to do. If you start in a young age, it becomes second nature and does not hurt or makes you uncomfortable (unless you have to cough, then it goes bad very quick for some reason I don`t know). I can growl without feeling exhausted or limited after that. It`s technical, not pure strength at all. It sounds like it, but is not different than hitting a clear note. But I did it in my early teens I started "singing" (I was never really good at singing) at eleven, got my first heavy metal mixtape at my 7th birthday and was fascinated with rock and metal. I recorded myself doing it (although my tapes sound funny when I hear them) just to hear me from the "outside" and getting better with every run. I stopped when I had to go to the army (mandatory service) and from then on never went back. In short, about 9 years of (up to 4 hours daily, yes my parents were not amused at all and it caused alot of conflict) shouting, screaming, growling, singing in my room (it was my hobby, like others I had desires to please in my teenage years) I have a tape with me constantly singing the same line for 60 minutes until I was ok with that (I had a cassette recorder and no mic) When you do it as a teenager you become familiar very fast with growling without your voice getting tired. I`m 43 now and still can do it (Although I don`t sound very good anymore as my lifechoices were poorly made and working is more important today than singing along to improve myself). But back to what I wanted to say: There is no way she is not warming up and there is no way she just walks off the stage like it`s nothing. That whole stage thing is like you would do your gym hours and not feeling anything. Also even when you are trained a couple of notes you want to hit come with a warm up, not from the get go. In conclusion: I think that is some kind of nonsense
