The more yoga I do in my lifetime, the more the Iyengar style of yoga appeals to me. I have noticed that Supta Padangusthasana is helpful in warming up for yoga splits (Hamunanasana). All the talk about ovaries may seem a little odd, but who knows, as a perimenopausal woman it is probably good for me to do yoga poses with hormone balancing effects. I enjoy Lois' teaching style. Hello Your elaborate instructions male you unquestionably wonderful teacher. I am a Gynaecologist. With due respect I can not comprehend how we can move the ovaries up in ceiling suptapadangustansan as I know both ovaries are not as mobile as you have described. Ovaries are attached to uterus by ovarian ligaments and bound by infundibulopelvic ligaments. Please clarify what exactly you mean..thanks for meticulous teaching.

I truly respect your experience but sorry i have no feeling of my ovaries moving. I think some instructions make no sense and should be avoided. Said that thank you for this tutorial.

Activate your thigh muscles and flutes so that you avoid hyperextending your leg.

Kneecap lifts which engages the quads and keeps knee from hyper-extending. Engagement starts from engaging foot then all the way up the leg. :)
