1985 was the last time to visit Corpus Christi for me, rode a ferry boat somewhere down there, Aransas Pass maybe. The weekend i left south Texas for good, it snowed.

Man I hate washboards roads. I rode for 15 miles today on my bike on a washboard road.

Agreed! Tackling washboard roads on a dual-sport or true ADV bike isn't that bad because you have LOTS of suspension travel, and you can stand up to give your butt and spine a break from the abuse. On a scooter or smaller motorcycle, there just isn't enough suspension or traction, and you're stuck sitting down and taking the abuse to the tailbone! Ouch! 😉👍 --QM

I drove an Elite 50 literally fucking everywhere. Mud, dirt, sand, rock..... Asphalt. Just know how to ride. You'll be fine. Or you won't but you will learn. lol

Yeah, those Honda Elite 50's were tough little scoots! These PCX's do OK on gravel, but not great. The tires are VERY narrow (90/90-14), so they tend to dig and plow sideways with little warning. However, the PCX's aren't nearly as bad as our Super Cub's on gravel, with their super-skinny 70/90-17 front tires... those things were a handful! Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

Howdy! Josh is using one of my spare tents: the Eureka Midori 2 tent. I found it on the clearance shelf at my local Academy Sports a few years ago for only $50! It was new in a sealed box for 75% off... nice! 🤑 Let me know when you're thinking of heading to Texas, and maybe we can find a good camping spot halfway between us. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
