Wow! Nice Jackery 3000! I have two small Jackery units and have not needed anything larger. My refrigerator is an Alpicool C20 and going on two years of use. I may go to an Anker fridge when it gives up. Eric is super cool dude; nice to have a friend like him. I like his grill set up. I still use a small wood burner or charcoal grill but it also becomes a campfire stove. I'm sorry about your drone. I haven't even flown mine since buying it six months ago. National parks don't allow being flown within their boundaries.

A Propane Tank Is A Lot Safer If You Can Store It In A Milk Crate. And Strap It Down When Traveling Especially If You Have It Inside While Traveling, And The Plastic Milk Crate Will Prevent Scratches On The Roof Or Interior Both....Just A Reminder !!

Hey Ria, one for ERIC if I may! Maria saw & tasted how good a lump of meat can be via a sous vide, (I took mine to france the other week to cook for us in the rented apartment) ...So how about you (ERIC) find a small sealed lid water container solution (ikea with some modification, thinking the trusty sealed lid ikea unit with a cannibalised screw top lid access that fits the anova but adds to the leak proof car mobility aspect of things! (i;m the ideas guy, too far away to put this into practise) a 1 litre ziplok dual seal bag would be enough to turn marias cooking around (& any pup would love it too) cheap cuts from the supermarket, the occasional nice steak cooked, chopped & portioned in the cool box, or my families favourite "salad chicken" (low temp, pastuerised, no need to pan finish if you don't want to just cube & eat with salad & decent bread, a mainstay for us in hot "finnicky" weather. think you ought meet up again & teach her the simplicity of sous vide on a micro cooking scale with a basically insulated vessel (neoprene wet suit material for instance to reduce bulk for in PO3 cooking, obviously the water if not heavily tainted can easily be cooled & given to animals, I don't typically change my tap water in my vessel for 5-7 days. a basiv salt, pepper, spanish paprika seasoning added to the bag doesn't generally taint, so can be washing up water or whatever. At home I use an 8 litre instantpot vessel & that is enough for 3 people, just not the jumbo steaks you consume in the US (a typical steak here is 180-240g ..there is a lot of protein in that. As you know the key to sous vide is insulation = low power usage so a frankensteined solid foam wall screw lid cooler & a silicone lid for in use (wand cut out) would likely do the trick & keep power concerns totally at bay. To give an example of current temp in the uk in my kitchen the room / water temp is 25c (according to anova) so to raise the temp for a small amount of meat (for one & a dog) several times over, heating is minimal if we used a thermal pot, temp acclimatised & raised the remainder to then maintain cycle it for a cook... no sweat on numerous days via suns warmth (open lid) then up the rest via power, (have you measured car camper use yourself)? Chicken breast 60c for 2 hours Burger medium rare, 53.9c for 1 hour (I do less with a beyond burger, veggie option 45 mins suffices for that & a uk portion of steak. 55.3c for tenderloin beef steak medium rare, I prefer to cook to one down (ie rare) if finishing in a pan, & lets face it, gas burner + practise = consistency that maria needs to hone on a camp style stove as they doubtless differ from a home stove. My point is that with the amount of hot states you have, being parked up & then bringing a pot to temperature using the sun to rejuvenate battery solar etc, then stow the cooked bag in the cooler for later, ..well you now how you can wander off do other things then pick up when the food is finished... time management & tasty results. i'll let you convince maria, but if Po3's battery & solar set up are capable, an anova would be a handy addition I reckon.
