SCP 771 is a creature whos not very well understood. Being labeled as Keter, they have no clue where it came from, who built it, or what is its purpose. In todays episode we will attempt to ascertain what is its reason for being, and how it may have come about. As always this is an SCP so it may be a little difficult to arrive at a 100% correct conclusion
Thank you for watching Roanoke Gaming and I hope you enjoy SCP 771: The Biological A.I. | A combination of Flesh and Machine Consciousness Explored

There is this technique where you coat a cell in silicic acid and create a silicon coated cell that does some things better when it is dead. These cells have increased membrane durability, longevity, temperature resistance and electrical conductivity. If the foundation could perform this process on the tissues of a specimen and then simulate life within it, they could provide the optimal material for 771 to fully repair itself.

Kind of a morbid question, but are those post mortem electrical signals “pain signals” and more importantly are they understood as such by any cells that haven’t yet got The death signal? basically, can you still “feel” pain after you die? Edit: Let me clarify: would those signals be registered aa pain signals by any still living cells?
@deinehundin5384
@deinehundin5384 3 жыл бұрын
Depends on how you define dying. Your body can still live on without your consciousness but not vise versa. I can't imagine feeling pain without feeling to feel you know? So I guess you can't feel pain after you die, except you find a way to keep your consciousness (your soul basically) alive, after your body dies

@@damianbisha6712 Remember that your brain made of cells as well. Its not entirely impossible that there would be cells able to sense pain after counciousness has ended. To the OP of the thread. The answer is yes, as the brain doesnt die all at once. But in reality the question is pointless and meaningless. Without a consciousness there for it to register, the cells that are left and recieve the pain signal simply say "pass this on" to the cells it used to be connected to. The cells themselves dont "feel" anything and would just detect another signal that they need to pass on. "Pain" is felt by the consciousness, and without it, all signals are just signals. Basically, your question is the equivalent of "if a tree falls in the forest with no one to hear it, does it make a sound?"

The experiment you mentioned about the spine brings up something I heard in a game once. "Many people believe that the brain is the seat of consciousness, yet important thoughts and feelings are carried out in ganglia: clusters of neurons found throughout the body. The mind stretches within the body and controls it. Conditions in the body reflect the mind, and damage to the body is damage to the mind as well." "The body and mind are linked. Physical actions are a manifestation of mental actions. Thus, training to protect the body also protects the mind. Controlling your environment controls your thoughts. You, your body, and your environment are part of a larger whole." nice touch using music from Deus Ex.

I imagine in your spine statement, the spine could be more of a exstention of the mind vs being a active part

You could refine it's capabilities by putting the organic parts in or hooking them up to tubes with cerebrospinal fluid while also adding biomass to it.

Finally!!! Someone who actually understands and says the SCP nomenclature correctly. I know there are other you tubers who analyze skips but they don’t use the cold, calculating, and “scientific” terminology in a genuine manner. Great job my fellow science nerd lol.
