Roast Pork and Gravy - Instant Pot
I hope you like this one pot pork roast and gravy recipe! I often use frozen meats which does not affect the cook time. If you prefer, you could brown the meat first. This can be done in the IP as well, using the saute function.
1 Pork butt or shoulder (mine was 4.5 lbs)
32 oz chicken broth
2 tsp hawaiian salt (or kosher, sea salt)
LOTS of garlic3
Corn starch (4 tbs?)
1-2 tbs Kitchen Bouquet
Splash of milk or cream

this is an easy to follow recipe. I like the idea of starting to use our instant pot to save some of time and use it on YT hehe. I did not know we can add milk. looks so yummy, with rice and corn on the side. Super like 18

I want to cook a pork roast for my mom, but she has some trouble chewing foods, it has to be really soft...would this type of roast be really soft when its done? If not which type of roast pork will be really soft?...I will be cooking in a regular pot, not instant pot. Thank you...this roast looks so good.

Hi Dennis! Any fattier type of roast, like a pork butt or pork shoulder would be juicy and tender.

Yes! The cooking time can stay the same. What might differ is the time it takes to come to pressure. It could take longer for frozen meat. The roast I used in this video was still frozen in the middle.
