Rob buys a Motorhome Camper RV Project cheap Part 1

In this Video we get busy on the Fiat Ducato Auto Trail 590 Motor home project.
Working at our fully equipped workshop in Kent we carry out tasks including Panel beating, Body work, Mig Welding, Sheet metal Spot Welding, Fabrication, Chassis Repairs, Sand Blasting, Engine and Mechanical repairs, Reconditioning, Restoration and Structural repairs on the Celette Jig Dozer frame machine.

For locks, don’t use wd40 as that make it worse as it attracts dust which then sticks. Use a graphite spray like ambersil

I’d get it checked out for damp where the windows have been, damp is a killer on these things

Do a damp test on it after it has stood in the rain for some time. Damp meters are very cheap on ebay. Motorhomes are renowned for water ingress and cheap motorhomes more so. If there isn't a water issue it will be a great project.

We had a 2000 Dethleffs Globetrotter Rob, brings back memories! The head gasket and turbo went on it at 99k miles. Engine had to be rebuilt but that was done by my Uncle and it's still on the road. The ducato is a lovely drive. Ours was the 2.8 turbo like yours. That was the best engine as the 1.9 were a bit gutless. Excited to see this progress!
