There's a big difference between 'putting your own stamp on it' and replacing a fitted fire and fridge!! I would definitely fit it out so it looks finished.....!

If he wants to maximum KZbin attention fit a compressor three way fridge, a maxxair fan, and an upgraded truma or if budget won’t allow a Malaga hot water heater which is upgrade to original carver. Van life is massive on KZbin... then fit solar system - it’s all amount the content

@@marklittler784 I agree. A 3 way fridge and heater, found second-hand like the rest, makes it fully functional for a holiday right now. That surely improves the selling price. Most people don't want to do restoration work. Adding throw cushions and such is enough for personal stamping.

Another great vid Rob, I think the reason so many people are following this motorhome repair is because they all wish they were doing it themselves!! It has to be everybody’s dream to obtain a “cheap van / mobile camper van” and do it up into a motorhome! And then go out and enjoy having a break in it. You have to finish it fully Rob - every little bit you do adds pounds to its value! Brilliant.

If you are selling it Rob then you really need to fit a fire and a fridge to finish it off, a habitation cert would be icing on the cake. Don't forget to straighten the aluminium door frame outside where a screwdriver has been used to Jimmy the door, I spotted it at the start of your vlog. Looking good.

Loved the video. Must admit the van is looking really nice now. I reckon as someone has offered you a heater and fridge for nothing I would grab them on the way back from Cornwall fit them so it’s complete and will sell easy. If someone wants to buy the van it might put them off if it’s minus a heater and fridge. They might not have the know how to fit one and would have to get it fitted and probably pay through the nose for both units. You know it’s the right way. It has to be done you never leave a job half done so why change a habit of a life time. Make someone’s day and finish the job. Some elderly couple would love that van.

Speaking as someone who lives full time in a motorhome, I would say you must fit the fridge & fire. Trying to sell it without them will narrow down the buyers too much & hurt your profit. Get them fitted, sort the back bumper & you'll have no problem selling it on. If it's a 2.5tdi engine, they're very sluggish as standard. Fit a K&N air filter & adjust the actuator arm, by shortening it about 10mm. This increases the boost pressure & the filter helps the engine breathe. It completely transforms an annoying slug into a pleasurable driving experience which will tackle hills with aplomb

My humble opinion is getting a fridge and heater back in there so it’s ready to travel will pull in more attention and, even if they don’t quite match, will get you a better return. Again, just my opinion, but looking great. As always lads, big 👍

As long as it’s for private use (ie not rented out), no need for Gas Safe or a certificate - it’s outside the scope of the regs. Should still be fitted by a ‘competent person’ and safety tested though. Any caravan engineer could do it. I’m training for this right now, so I’ve just studied the rules.

Rob, keep on doing what you are doing. I personally would fit a fridge and fire back in just so that it was finished, the purchaser can always change them once they have bought it. But the camper would be usable if fitted out. And as for some comments, they don't have to watch I am sure they would be better off watching themselves in a mirror or watching paint dry, we love what you do guys, keep on doing it. Cheers.

Only thing is, if you do those bits, you'll be able to send it off, knowing you've looked after it from top to bottom. It'll really help the selling price, because you'll have it absolutely 100%.
