If Gronk plays at least a few more years at current levels he will easily surpass Tony G, but until then can't give him the crown til he puts in the work (and I'm a huge pats/gronk fan). Amazing player and role model in the nfl, never took for granted his position. He works hard everyday and is considered one of the most dominant receivers in the league. He fights to get in the end zone every time he gets the ball regardless of where he is on the field and does an outstanding job of blocking and creating space for teammates. Although I personally can never rank a player's position on the best of all-time scale until their career is over, I truly believe he will be the best tight end to ever step on to the field.

New England selected Julian Edelman (#232 overall) with the 2009 7th Rd pick from Jax... and in 2010 traded Oakland the 2nd Rd pick from Jax and a 2010 6th Rd pick to move up 2 spots from #44.... to #42.... and select Gronk.
