I'm a certified Glock armorer and wanted to point out something for you...Great review of the Glock 43 and Robar upgrades, but...Unlike weapons like a 1911, the Glock slide stop is not designed to use as a slide release. According to Glock, doing so will damage the slide to the point that the notch on the slide will wear and the slide won't lock back on an empty magazine.

I don't know why, but when I first watched any videos with Chad in it, I wasn't that big of a fan. However over the years, I've noticed that we share very similar tastes as far as firearms go. That alone made me change my opinion of him, but he's definitely grown and improved what he offers to videos. That being, clear reason behind his personal preferences, while still being able to give suggestions for options for people with differing needs. Love that Glock by the way!

I carried a european made Glock 43 for a year. Not just occasionaly but really all day every day. Where I live I don't get to sweat all that much but I have a skin that tends to eat the finish on metals (watches, belt buckles, etc...). Although holstering in the kydex did wear the finish, I have had no rust issue what so ever...

Not trying to troll, however I can't understand why people choose this gun over other single stacks that have an extra round with a flush mag. I mean why even choose this over a Glock 26 which has a 10 round flush mag and other than being a little thicker it has the same demensions and conceals just as good. Also, your backup mag can be anywhere from anther 10 rounds all the way to 33 rounds if you have a method of carrying a spare that big. If single stack is the way you want to go there are guns just as thin and exact size with 7 rounds flush.... People act like this is the best thing since sliced bread. *shrug*
@Slinkman20218 жыл бұрын
I feel the same way. Same for the Glock 30, super compact 10 rounds of .45acp.
@Brandonx-nb7rv8 жыл бұрын
Toamaius D'Vignir you can also buy mag guts. It's a product to add an extra round in your single stack mags. It has been 100% reliable and they have a 100% reliability guarantee or your money back. Just replaces the springs in your mag and gives an extra round
@toamaiusdvignir94688 жыл бұрын
Brandon_ 7.62x39 Yeah, but then mag guts for other pistols in same size gives you 8+1 just saying this is the only glock that isnt size efficient.
@dirktucker778 жыл бұрын
shorter, thinner, smoother! The g43 is all of those to me, over all the other single stacks I handled. sure it's only a hair thinner than a g26.. but isn't a g26 only a hair smaller than a g19.. and a g19 is only slightly smaller than a g17.. smaller, thinner, lighter=g43. taran tactical makes quality +1+2+3 mag ext..
@toamaiusdvignir94688 жыл бұрын
UserDeniedAccess I agree on some of your statements, however..... Glock 26 with a flush mag conceals ALOT better than Glock 19 in most carry positions other than appendix where the 19 conceals well. With that in mind, Glock 26 can do and ballistically perform as good as the Glock 19. It also accepts 15, 17, 33 round mags and shoots them relaibly. The shorter the grip is the less it prints. Giving up 5 rounds on a flush mag from the 26 is worth the concealment trade off. The 19 is the most efficient rounds to weight ratio of all glocks. Glock 26 is in the middle, but the compatibility with higher cap backup mags makes up everything you give up. Glock 43 is less efficient in rounds to size and cannot except bigger higher capacity mags. Mag extentions defeats the purppose of what the flush mag offers in concealment. Mag extension base plates should only be considered for backup use only. If you argue that you will carry appendix where the grip size wont matter, then why not carry a Glock 19 or something similar in size with most rounds in a flush mag?

Chad bullet weight question. I have went back and forth on what bullet weight to carry. As in 124g or 147g. I have shot both in my carry hollow points and round ball. I have also looked at ballistic gel tests for my carry ammo. I have found 124 performs better than 147. Sometimes with the 147g hollow points and ball ammo. The bullet holes where out of round. Making me suspect bullet tumbling at various carry ranges. I never had that with 124g hallow points and round ball. The ballistic gel test, I could find backed that up. That 124g out performed 147g hallow point in short barrel pistols. I believe in using good hollow points. You trust your life on the performance on that round. You have to know it will work if ever need it. What are your thoughts on that subject? That's for your time. Love your channel.

I have to wonder, what Glock did to tennifer process on Glock 43 that it allows to rust. Is this problem occuring only on US made glocks or on Austria ones too? I'm from Slovakia, Europe, an Austria neighbor country and we have allowed concealed carry (with licence, not hard to get). I have not seen this issues on any other Glocks. Truth is, I don't personally know anybody with Glock 43, most people here have either 19 or 17, some 26. I have to ask nexttime somebody in gun store.
@sole__doubt8 жыл бұрын
The climate of where you live is why some people have rust issues and some don't. If you live in a really humid climate like I do, you will have these rust issues.
@ZhuJo998 жыл бұрын
Slovakia is part of former Czechoslovakia, that is Central Europe, very mild climate with no extreme humidity. Anyway, tennifer finish should prevent that, regardless of humidity. I can understand that when the Glock 43 would be digged in ground for few years without any conservation, but not like this.
@sole__doubt8 жыл бұрын
ZhuJo99 I have a parkerized slide on my G42 and I haven't had any rusting at all from using a holster. However my friend who has a stock G25 has some real noticeable wear and mild rust from leaving it in a holster under his car seat for a couple years. In regards to the tennifer coating (hope I spelled that right) I have no experience with it, but have read good things, I need to research it, it sounds great. :)

Chad’s Robar G43 looks really nice. But it’s sad that the Glock original finish for the Gen 1-3 guns like the G17/G19 aren’t there for newer Glocks like Gen 4s & up.

For anyone having problems shooting left with glocks: SINK MORE FINGER ON THE TRIGGER!! As much as you can with a proper grip. The whole "only use the pad of your finger" will make the problem worse.
@johnpagdilao60758 жыл бұрын

@WCGwkf8 жыл бұрын
Kyle Hammer if you can't shoot straight with your finger in any position you've got some fundamentals to work on.
@Kh24568 жыл бұрын
WCGwkf True but on Glocks, especially single stack pistols the tendency to pull the shots off target is pretty high due to their weight and small frames. Even really experienced pistols shooters have noted this. Larry Vickers covers the glock shooting left for right handed shooters in one of his videos and states how it shows up sometimes for himself.
@WCGwkf8 жыл бұрын
I know it can help some people but in fight or flight mode are you really going to put your finger in that exact position? are you going to train enough to do that? and if you are you probably have enough training on fundamentals that it isn't importrant. It's really about learing how to pull the trigger straight back. I can shoot a pistol upside down with my pinky finger at 100 yards. Theres no thought process here that involves where my finger is touching the trigger. Trigger control is most important and to me it doesn't matter where you put it.

Love the looks of this Glock and I am an overall Glock fan and daily carrier but with the 43 I just can't get into it. I simply don't shoot them well, so an M&P Shield9 serves as my auxiliary/backup duty. Prior to that it was a Keltec in that role and my main carry has always been a Glock 19 or 32 for years, so I was super happy when the 42 and then 43 finally came out. After owning and shooting it for 6-7 months I sold it. Just isn't a good fit for me and it hurts to say that! Anyway good video and that is one nice looking pocket Glock.
