I had it 7-5 Beterbiev. 6-6 draw is ok too. I cannot see a Bivol win. If Beterbiev sweeps 10/11/12 that means to get to a Bivol win you would need to have it 7-2 after 9. That just did not happen.

If the wrong man won it’s a robbery. If I break into your house and steal 5$ or 5000$ it’s still a robbery. Who landed more shots per round? Add up the rounds that’s who won. There weren’t any knockdowns and there wasn’t any rounds where they landed the same amount of shots.

@@kyw_88lol it’s not hard. There’s 12 rounds. You score each round. Who landed more shots per that round then add it up. If you count cleanly landed shots per round. Bivol won 7-8. That’s still pretty close but clearly the wrong guy won lol. When someone has something taken from them it’s called theft or robbery even if it’s only a couple rounds and tbf the judge who took 3-4 rounds from Bivol robbed him even worse. Hope Turk loads this on his channel like the other fights so you guys can go back and watch it a round at a time but then again you’ll probably score Arturs one shot over bivols combo counters cause “RING GENERALSHIP BROOOO” imagine thinking landing less punches per round is better 😂😂 “Bro but fight was close Artur move forward so he win! 🤤” You guys ruin boxing almost as much as the judges. Just change the rules if it’s not about landing more punches. Any other sport if someone scored more points than their opponent they win but somehow in boxing even though that’s the first criteria but gotcha …

That’s why compubox was created, so it will count fair and square, including which one hitting air / gloves. In fact, Bivol should have won it, according to compubox, Arthur hit gloves and air most of the times, that’s why Bivol had higher PCT rate with better accuracy and successful punch. The reason Bivol’s face was badly injured, because he blocked most of Arthur’s heavy punches with his gloves which pushed his hand backward to his face, and this is inevitable .
@lacca_music214
@lacca_music214 2 ай бұрын
@@juliansihite1289 do you know what compubox is? It’s literally a guy in the stands who manually hits a button every punch. In spite of the name, it’s not some advanced computer program using sensors or high speed camera to accurately log punches, and it should NOT be used to score fights. And yea, beterbiev was marking up bivol through his guard. Those punches to the gloves/arms actually do damage, they also allow him to dictate the terms of the fight and when he was throwing those flurries a lot of shots were slipping through and hurting bivol. He hurt bivol a few times and had him in survival mode towards the end of the fight.

Watch rounds 3, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, and 12 again in slow motion at 0.75 speed, and you'll understand how Beterbiev won the fight. In round 3 and several later rounds, Bivol becomes passive, while Beterbiev throws more than 60 punches per round. As a result, the decision will favor the fighter who keeps pushing and throwing punches. Clean shots don’t play a significant role if the fighter stays on the back foot for 2 straight minutes and takes punches, even if they land on the gloves and hands, as those punches are still considered.

It was really the same as almost every other beterbiev fight except he just couldn’t get the finish. Bivols conditioning, defensive discipline and fast counters were enough for him to weather the storm. It’s not clear if/how much beterbiev’s knee was a factor. I think he needed 10% more aggression, 20-30 seconds earlier in the rounds and he probably drops bivol at some point and maybe stops him. Easier said than done at 39 w/ a knee injury though. Also I just wanna say how refreshing it is to see a guy like beterbiev vs an elite mover like bivol. He actually knew how to cut off the ring and made bivol fight! It’s getting old seeing some of these fighters chase a guy around the ring for 12 then complain they ran. Teo vs Ortiz, Shakur vs DLS etc.

CLEARLY BETERBIEV WON THAT FIGHT! He was the aggressor, his game plan was well-in-place while Bivol's didn't work well. Even basing on their looks after the fight, obviously Beterbiev sustained little damage or bruises while bivol's face was gravely devastated! Admittedly, Bivol was fan favourite. That's why it seems the result allegedly was controversial. It's just a matter of those losers could not accept losing money in betting Bivol. And professional boxers mostly, are jealous with the achievements of Beterbiev that no one else could achieve in their boxing carries.

I think you have missed the point that most of Bivols work was very light touches so the word "effective" is important, Bivol was touching not punching with a lot of his work due to going backwards and he did no damage to Beterbiev who marks up very easily, was a close fight but I think the similarity of the 3 judges cards bar a few swing rounds gave the right aggregate result (None of them made Bivol the winner).....Rematch 100% but I think Bivol gets stopped next time as he really can't change things bar committing to more power which involves planting your feet, then he gets into a trade and he won't win that with Beterbiev. Whereas Beterbiev knows Bivols moves now so he already made the adjustments.

@@PunchPerfectBoxing There is a big difference in fully committing to shots and without doing that Bivol gave Beterbiev no reason to worry about going forward, Beterbiev marks up very easily and after 12 rounds he had a rub mark on his forehead, so either Bivol was just touching or Beterbiev was blocking them, choose your poison, thats why all 3 judges did not see Bivol doing enough to win the rounds, best he got was a draw, from 1 of them. The fact that the words "did enough" came from many on the Bivol side shows he did not in fact do enough and did not leave it all out there. A close fight yes but a Bivol win No chance.

I like this video! The whole fight between Beterbiev and Bivol was held in a forceful manner. Both boxers were attentive to their opponent's punches, as they realized that missing one accentuated punch could lead to a knockout. Beterbiev after the first three rounds of the attempt to work on technique began to press, throwing out his powerful punches. However, he was unable to lock onto Bivol and knock him out as he had done with all of his previous opponents. Bivol was constantly shifting Biterbiev's aim, defending with his block and shifting from side to side, preventing him from landing a series of knockout punches. The center of the ring remained behind Biterbiev most of the time. In this fight we did not see the famous element of movement from the Soviet style of boxing - shuttle kick, performed by Dmitry Bivol. The use of the shuttle is suitable in amateur boxing, where 3 rounds, as well as in work with a boxer-player or slow-moving opponent. Bivol used the defense with a block and a trip takedown to the side. Countered Beterbiev with counter power work. We didn't see any spurts of concussive strikes from Beterbiev in this fight. We can discuss a lot about who won this fight. I will say that the fight was very competitive. Both opponents were strong both physically and technically. Nobody fell in the ring. We all saw this exciting fight. Beterbiev showed that he has the right to be the winner, and Bivol proved that he is unbeatable. Before the fight I gave 30% that Beterbiev would win by knockout and 70% that Bivol would win on points. The result of the fight surprised me - Beterbiev won a judges' decision for the first time in his professional career. I was also surprised by Bivol's hard power style of fighting, which started to take shape since his fight with Canelo Saul Alvarez. Bivol's feet became more stocky, minimal use of the shuttle. Dmitry Bivol proved himself in exchanging hard punches with Beterbiev. We saw the athletic power of the athletes. I think everyone will learn a lesson from this fight. Personally, I was once again convinced that cardio and physical endurance are an important component for a boxer. Recently I have added to my training the recommendations from the practical manual “400 Boxing Combinations” by Yuriy Ivantsiv. This manual contains training schemes, how to develop stamina, physical strength, to work out skills of close combat, middle and long distance fighting, to work out a knockout punch and a series of power punches in non-stop mode through practicing boxing combinations. Every time I finish practicing 10 rounds on the bag, I realize that these are the unforgettable sensations I was missing in the training process. As a result - my endurance has improved, during sparring I don't have a fleeting confusion about which series of punches to throw. I understand what blows my sparring partner is going to deliver, so I have time to defend and counterattack. After a month of training on the methodology “400 Boxing Combinations” I managed to diversify my combinatorial punching technique. Finally, I would like to recommend everyone to subscribe to this channel. It puts out useful content for all boxing fans! I wish you all success and good luck!

The general lack of 10-10 round scoring is one of the biggest problems in judging. Being desperate to be decisive and contrive some definitive edge in very close rounds is pointless. If a boxer hasn't won the round don't force a round to them. Especially in rounds where the story is that each fighter landed about 1 punch and spent the rest of the round posturing... some additional jab or some vague impression of slightly superior ring generalship shouldn't be meaningful. In such rounds, neither fighter has done anything worthy of being judged to have "won" or earned a round.

I scored it 3-0 Bivol, 3-3, 4-3, 4-4, 6-4, 6-6. One way I could see Bivol more likely as a victor is that he was taking lots of shots on the gloves, and technically those aren’t scoring shots

You are spot on bro! subscribed. ...Dmitry won the quality exchanges and blocked most shots.. Artur pressed the fight for the usual tko but was denied then had to win catch up rounds and hope. . .. Dmitry survived Arturs pressure and outboxed him clean .Beterviev team were shocked couldn't believe they got the win . It should of been a draw. But 112 to 116 score is just embarrassing

Everything you said was exactly how it went for me and how I felt. I never took eyes of it never even glanced at scorecards was just watching the fight and all week I picked beterbiev but at the end I said bivol win fair play to him looked like he pulled off a masterplan.. beterbiev done nothing but press he was so frustrating to watch. I felt gutted for bivol in the end and like you said just didn't feel right.

Biv needs to adjust his tactics to win the rematch. Judges are harsh towards fighters with the points then disengage amateur boxing tactic. You need to go for winning every minute in pro boxing. UNOFFICIAL rule of boxing the championship rounds are the most important rounds

8-4 Beterbiev. Id give Bivol rounds 1,2,3 & 9. Some of the rounds Beterbiev won were close but he always landed the more damaging ahots and dictacted the direction and pace of the fight with his effecrive aggression.

@PunchPerfectBoxing Those punch stats were bull shit. Along with 90% of the commentaries and promotions riding Bivol. A lot of those "Glove shots" that Beterbiev was throwing actually landed and most of them weren't included in landed. Ask Bivol if they landed, if they weren't why else was he constantly on the retreat?

@@adamyeejy-sk9fh Because he’s a back foot fighter and why would you not box Beterbiev on the back-foot? 😂😂 Listen to what you are saying. Should he have just done a Joe Smith Jr and run at Beterbiev and got knocked out in a few rounds?

@PunchPerfectBoxing Bivol tried to plant his feet in bursts and was met with powerful punches. Bivol might be a counterpuncher and outside fighter but he was forced back all night my friend. Beterbiev was the boss in that right. Bivol beter hope it's not an 18ft ring in the rematch or he's absolutely fucked.
@PunchPerfectBoxing
@PunchPerfectBoxing 2 ай бұрын
@@adamyeejy-sk9fh I highly doubt they’ll make the ring even smaller for a rematch😂 If everyone just stands there with Beterbiev, no one is going to beat him. And then what’s the point? Bivol gave him his best fight last night and was a round away from a draw on the official cards. No need to stop running or whatever you call it.

As someone expecting Massey to cause an upset or at least be a banana skin slip, I have got some egg on my face. Jai made it look easy tonight, loved his jabs and ring control. I might be slightly biased but I feel that out of all the other Cruiserweight champs, Chris Billiam Smith has the best chance against Jai though hes still obviouslya massive underdog

opinions are opinions..as well as points of view..I really don't know why rounds can't be scored as even..somehow ,whenever they are close and can go ether way..judges tend do give them to one side or another..if they are so close why not score them 10 - 10 ?..in my opinions this was a perfect example of a draw..it's not possible that even a judge gave bivol the edge..anyway and beterbiev also..being the man he is, should admit that his opponent deserved more than that..great analysis Mate ❤

The card giving Beterbiev round 3-7 is my problem. I'm going to watch this specific stretch again to understand why. 3 was arguable. 5 was arguable depending on how much you reward a figther "stealing" the round in the last minute, but for me that's more so when the first 2 minutes were slow for both fighters. 7 is AB's most definitive win other than 11, but its interesting to hear that round described how I saw Round 5 (winning till getting greedy). I felt Bivol banked 10 but that and 12 is debatable.

Been looking forward to your thoughts on this. It was a belter of a fight. My initial reaction was that it was a draw, but I thought Bivol did the better work throughout and probably nicked it if the judges took notice of the crowd reaction. Same as you. Even with the expectation that Bivol would get it when I heard 116-112 despite it being a bit wide either way. I’ve seen people give a lot of stupid reasons as to why it was a comfortable win for Artur - such as “clean shots only matter if they cause knockdowns” and “Bivol was running all night and took more damage - look at his face”. Both of which are bollocks and both show that you have to try harder to make a case for Beterbiev winning than Bivol winning. Don’t get it twisted though, I know you can find 7 rounds for Beterbiev, and this is not a robbery. It was genuinely close. I just preferred Bivol’s work. My view is Bivol outboxed Beterbiev and had his way with him at mid and close range when it was in the middle of the ring rather than at the ropes. He proved to me that he IS the better boxer of the two, and I’d favour him extremely heavily in a rematch which I doubt will happen. Even if it doesn’t, Bivol will put the belts together again when they scatter.

Honestly for everyone. this is boxing fighting throwing punches is the name of the game with reasonable accuracy. The people that are saying bivol boxed off the back foot is complete rubbish. The only person that can fight off the back foot with great effect is mayweather. Bivol was running covering up getting busted up. Beterbiev is just a power house his one two glancing blows were putting too much pressure on bivol and it’s not bivols fault. Bivol was landing nothing close to nothing. The commentary was gassing up bivol. Beterbiev was throwing way more punches and beating bivol down. That wear and tear was real for bivol. Bivols punches had no impact. In my opinion you can’t throw that many punches and get the win in a unified championship fight.

copying my own comment word for word from Gmans video: "Even though i had predicted Artur on points, I thought Bivol just edged it personally i had it scored 115-113, during the fight i felt he was losing the middle rounds but when he turnt it up again in the final 3, i realized he had just been conserving energy since he had won the 1st three rounds kinda similiar to what Loma and Usyk do, perhaps this is a sign that unless youre Usyk who can be convincingly dominant enough, its an easy startegy to not get the rub of the green but like the haney fight imma gonna go out on a limb and say it was too close to be called a robbery" also Bivol was definetly more accurate imo so i scored 2 of the swing rounds to him
