Some great information there but you don't need to take it apart that much. Done mine by just removing just 7 screws. Thanks for the info all the same. 👍

Thanks very much 👍 Always good if there's an easier way to do it. 👍

This video was useful to me but not for locking my diff, it's my first of this kind of RC and I bought it when it arrived the back diff was the wrong way round so my car just kind stayed in the one spot! Thank you for this vid

I'm glad it was useful and helped you get your RC working. 👍 Hope you can enjoy it now and thanks for the comment. 👍

Hey mate great video. Did you lock the front diff as well? And if so is there a vid?
@DoURC Жыл бұрын
Thanks very much. 👍 Yeah I locked the front as well, it's the same process as the rear but just disconnect the steering as well. The front and rear diffs and housings are the same, just remember they face different ways. 👍

I didn't do a separate video no. 👍

Ok cool thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. Did you do many other mods to the banzai?any steering upgrades?
@DoURC Жыл бұрын
@@michaellobenstock5184 No worries. 👍 I've recently swapped in a 550 17t motor and also moved the mounting point for the steering arms where they attach to the hub. I'm looking into using mst hubs instead for better angle, I'll do a video if it works. 👍

hey mate!! do you know how to increase the direction angle?
@DoURC Жыл бұрын
There are two holes on the carrier arms, if you move to the hole closer to the front of the car it will provide a little more angle. One of my projects atm is seeing if I can fit MST hubs as they provide way more angle. The Banzai is limited by the lower arm and also front diff housing. Hope that helps. 👍

Is it worth the effort of doing and does it transition better from corner to corner ?
@DoURC2 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's definitely worth doing. It's better all around with locked diffs! It's better all around with locked diffs. If you set it in crawler mode it's like having a mini handbrake too when you come off throttle. 👍

what is the benefit?
@DoURC2 жыл бұрын
Both wheels spin together, makes it much easier to drift. For a crawler like the Kanyon, it would stop individual wheels spinning when crawling, so all wheels would move together, helping you crawl. 👍 Just like real life basically, drift cars have lsd's or locked diffs and off roaders can lock the diffs for hard terrain. 😎

No need to take the arms off as as soon as you undo the 6 screws..the dif will come off its just those 3 screws that hold it on need to come off 😁😁

Thanks very much. I just found it easier to get the dog bones out and it's only two screws, but thanks for the tip. 👍

To much hassle for a cheapo ftx. My banzai can stay stock.

It's definitely worth it, makes it a much better drifter. I just wanted to share the how to so people know how to do it, if they want too. Enjoy your Banzai. 👍😎

Do you have a link for the part for the diff at all?
@DoURC3 жыл бұрын
Yeah there's a link in the description for it. 👍 The diffs are basically the same for quite a few of the ftx models. The FTX part no is FTX8467. 👍
