It's quite simple really. First peg out the four corners of the tent. Then put up the door A frame and tension it with guy lines. Then it's simply a case of attaching the inner two A frames and connector ridge poles. They really did make a dog's breakfast of it in this video!!

Admittedly we did try that method but found that the fabric was cut so tightly that it was very hard to get the poles into one another, especially at that height, so we opted for this second method.

@@AttwoollsCoUk Fair enough. The one I helped put up had been used a few times so maybe the fabric had stretched a little.

I have the prospecor shack .from the Attwools comments below i agree that I tried the front first method.the canvas was too tight to slot the horizontal between the a frames .I ended up breaking the legs and then put together much like an old school frame tent without sig.I ,like attwoolls have put up lots of tents and found this a right pain in the @rse to put up . Look at their many other tent videos they know their stuff ,certainly not novicesand are very informative.I can only hope the canvas will stretch as for such a small tent it is just too onerous to put up

Any other tips on pitching the Prospector Shack? The directions say rear first. I'm trying to figure out why it matters. Seems like I could go front first, stake some lines to hold up the front and assemble the rest. So...what advice do you have?

LOL, I was thinking about to buy it for glamping just by myself in summer. But I would be so pissed and frustrated if I set it up by myself and the frame fell apart all the time.😃 2:50 3:00 3:09 😃

definitely not a weekender tent, looks like a real pain to put up. BUT, once its erected, awesome tent! Good for all year round temp accommodation on the property!

The problems in the pitching are not guys' fault. The responsibility lies upon an insufficent design. This tent has to be improved in all aspects that affects the setting up. Pre tensioned poles should have clips that prevent them to unthread once assembled, the body of the tent should be separated from the floor etc... This product is simply not ready for market.

A-frame with sown-in ground sheet. I think i'd rather forego the ground sheet than go through that palarva
