Ever since all the woke bs started the standards have dropped because all the officers quitting and no one wants to join .this is going on all over America shortage of officers... look at the number of officers in 2020 vs 2024 numbers.. locally to me the pt test is literally just running 3 laps around the gym under a certain amount of time..if you make a call unless someone is in grave danger or criminals are still on site. Don't expect a response until 2-5 hours..non emergency call some times next day response.

I had one man CRY and thank me " I can eat ALL WEEK!" Another time a veteran was holding a sign. (My Dad was Army) And I pulled over and talked to him for a few minutes. Told him " I was an Army brat and while I don't believe in giving money, I want to help: what do you NEED?" Took him into Walmart and bought him a new pair of boots!!!!! It was snowing and his leaked! He was thrilled!

I've given a fastfood meal to a young guy with a sign, including food and water for his dog. He didn't say thank u and mean mugged the bag like he expected money instead. Here in Florida we have young women with a baby and a kid stand outside of grocery stores looking for money to feed her kids. I gave her $10.00 one day on my way into shop and when I came out I found her getting into a brand new SUV. Found her at a Walmart an hour later doing the same thing. When I asked her how she can afford a better car then I can she said you are just stupid for giving your money to anyone. I went inside and talked to the manager and he sent out and told her to get off the property or he was going to call the police.
