If you actually watch his videos and see he never says anything about the person he always says how the makeup look good! He only tries to say how for face shape or how exactly the product is supposed to be used due to some Instagram/youtubers don’t show you the real when it comes to makeup and I honestly agree with him I still watch youtubers and Instagram Tutorials but I also watch Robert because he actually helps you turn what you see them do into an everyday makeup wear because what you see on camera and what you see in person can look totally different and what you see on KZbin or on Instagram is awesome and looks flawless but more than likely if you see them in person it looks cakey and dry, he never once talks about the person and most of the time he doesn’t even know who the person he is reviewing is it’s usually people that are recommended and which is why I would watch him over these other people because they do their reviews off of the person verses off of the makeup only

That girl (who now has her own makeup company) is the queen of wasting product, but in some countries (even mine, Italy) is now kinda normal put so much product (I mean both skincare and makeup) on your face. But as a pro MUA it's what clients request for the most (then blame us because it cracked after 5 minutes ... Some of us are FORCED to do this, "BECAUSE WE PAY YOU") 😰 What people doesn't know AT ALL is: A) they have editing B) some of them don't have this on all day long

@@Adriannamalik I don't know actually, I don't even follow her ... I found out her in my IG search few times, I saw some videos, but after few seconds I had to take off because she shows the opposite of what you should do on your face. Also, she posts pics of her baby with her same makeup look, they both have freckles but it's scary she puts so much product on her face

0:50 You handled this so professionally, I have so much respect for that. A lot of big names in the beauty community wouldn't bat an eye at a comment mentioning them like that because they're either too scared to stand up for the victims (understandable, but someone is getting hurt in the process which isn't any better) or they have a similar mindset as the person who made the comment (which in that case, we can never really tell unless the artist radiates that energy/speaks ill of others regularly). It was disrespectful for the person to use your name as an excuse to bash on another person over their own personal opinions. I really hope whoever posted that sees this video and takes responsibility for their actions/doesn't do that again.

The most sad thing about the second video of the red head girl is that she's a Brazilian make-up line owner and she does all those absurd makeup videos and influences directly Brazilian makeup lovers to do these unnecessary steps and buy her products which ones are very white skin focused and high end products as well. It's SO revolting!

Yes! The fact he would never make mean, hurtful comments is why he's a KZbinr I watch. There's so much entertainment on the Internet, narrowing what I consume down to people who aren't nasty and problematic narrows choices down for me. There's enough negativity in the world we can't avoid, I don't know why people choose meanness for entertainment too. Luxeria is like that too - not personally attacking, correcting misinformation in a polite way and always trying to see the positive and be encouraging.

⚠️ASK YOURSELF WHEN WATCHING ANYONE’S VIDEO:⚠️ “Is what this person doing (ex. applying makeup or any video) directly affecting or hurting me?” The answer is, “NO!!!!” So if you can’t or wouldn’t say what your leaving in the comments to that person face, DON’T leave a mean nasty comment, don’t tag a person that you know would ever say what your comment says. Ur not only hurting/upsetting the creator of the video u r commenting on but u have the potential of hurting/upsetting someone that is reading ur comment. U never know what someone is going through, or how they feel. Who knows? What you say could push someone over the edge. And in my book that’s so wrong and heart breaking. Be kind, we need more kindness and patience in the world, now more than ever!!! It goes back to the saying: “If you’ve can’t say something nice, DON’T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL!!!!” Lovely video I really enjoy watching all of your videos, I’ve learned a lot and enjoy wearing makeup again 💛💜💙

When did world start makeup shaming? I mean there are hundreds thousands of people who don't know anything about makeup but try hard to find out. And there are someone who just make fun of those beginners. Since when ANY shaming became acceptable? Doesn't matter weight, body type, clothes, skin or makeup. its not ok to leave bitchy comments to people. I really really like Robert for being genuine and showing how to do things correctly 💜 thank you, Robert!
@Jesser19754 жыл бұрын
I appreciate when people actually tell people what boundaries they have for comments! Aside from that, debates have rules against ad-hominem comments. For those who don't know what that is, it's when you attack the character of the source material instead of debating the citation itself. "Ugly" isn't an argument. The reputation of the source doesn't make it less true. The canvas the makeup is on doesn't make it less correct, either.

I remember watching marimaria when she had very little followers. When she started using “Instagram style makeup” she gained so many followers. I thought about what you have said about using so much product and all of these creators who pile on makeup and are not necessarily using proper makeup theory and I had a theory as to why makeup turned this way on IG. Remember in 2016 when what was popular on IG was “slime videos” “soap cutting” “writing with ink” and so forth? It was made for “satisfying watching” and I remember the makeup community competing with this popularity on social with these satisfying vidoes. Then I started noticing people started painting color corrector on their face, drawing circles on their face, then blending slowly. I almost feel like theory went out the window and lend itself to the “satisfied watcher” then it lead to more people clicking on their videos. So I think this is what happened. I’m not sure this is a theory of mine.

hey- in case you see this robert, i haven’t been watching your channel for a very long time but ever since the first video you’ve come off very kindly observant, truthful, and well-informed. you seem to apologize for possibly being ‘shady’ a lot (which is okay and understandable!), which somewhat confuses me as i don’t see you as this at ALL. i’m absolutely not an expert, but as a viewer it seems the word ‘shady’ has become SO synonymous with the beauty industry that any beauty youtuber’s observations are looked upon as toxic or negative. this is sometimes the case, but i absolutely don’t think that applies to you! i think you’re a terrific creator and hope you have a wonderful day!
