I have re-edited/uploaded this video as my initial upload was taken down by KZbin due to a copyright claim for the James Taylor segment of this interview. For the record, my initial upload of this video reached over 500 000 views due to the massive interest in the great Robin Williams.
You Tube never gave the option to edit the James Taylor segment from my upload when the video reached over 100 000 views.
There was no copyright claim by James Taylor's management BEFORE the video reached over 100 000 views which was strange!

Always there for the crew making us all laugh. The weather was pretty wet and cold but never saw him show any sign of weakness. He was amazing at copying the various accents of the crew who were a mixed bunch from all over. I met also David Putnam there who was the producer. Robin knew when to tone it down. After his manic performance during the first 25 minutes, he tones it WAY down when Stephen Fry comes out. Two geniuses in one interview. What a treat!

True sentiments, all, however Robin didn't suffer from depression or demons. He had a degenerative prion disease that was causing brain dmg and went undiagnosed until they did an autopsy. It's important people understand he was a happy, loving person and his drastic personality changes were symptoms of this lewy-body dementia. We need so much more research into treating forms of dementia so we don't lose people like him. It's so easy to say ah, demons, tsk, when instead it's a disease we can literally see and define, and now we just have to find a way to cure or control it. Loved the man, gonna miss him.

Nobody is or will ever be so special and amazing like you, Robin Williams! Because everyone misses you and was like as legend, I believe that we should have a Holiday of your birthday. Maybe even better, a Festival about how amazing you were Robin Williams! July 21, 1951.

@@timothygraham4304 It's hard for someone like Robin to not play hard with Stephen - Stephen has a fast and immense wit. If this was on the Graham Norton Show it would have been completely over the top. As it was - I liked it - Stephen can be a bit of a bore as well, though he is one of my favorites. Neither of these guys needed the interview or were selling their latest movie or book. Sometimes protocol is a bore.

I was disillusioned for quite a while from people like Jon Ross, Kimmel, Fallon, Letterman etc. that I forgot how good Parki was (and is, if he does interviews again). Such an articulate clever man that knew how to entertain the audience, satisfy the guests, and make the whole time worthwhile for everyone.

Both are legends: Robin climbs a mountain, ready to draw blood to get a laugh--and it's always worth it; Mr. Fry sits back and says one thing that is just as funny; an interesting gulf between styles, and man did they work together. I love the patience on both sides; Robin can often interrupt but he knows exactly what he's doing in a way that compliments another guest; Stephen's comedy switches to serious matters and Robin suddenly behaves and says something Stephen appreciates--I wanna see more

Robin said, "And the loneliness of a person who feels so isolated. I understand that feeling better now. My mom passed away and I was in the military. My dad talked about how alone he felt. He said he was married for so long that he lost who he was in the marriage and realized he didn't have any single friends. Then years later my dad had passed and I was an airline pilot and my wife left me. I did nothing wrong in the marriage she just didn't want to be married anymore. I would get home and I would be alone. I would sit in the hotel rooms alone or I was watching passengers go on vacations and realizing that I will never have that experience with the love of my life ever again. I now realize what my dad meant by losing who he was in the marriage. Apparently Robin felt alone and it was a painful alone. It is like being in solitary confinement. Robin had major depression and I did too but if I took medication the FAA could keep me from flying. Anyway I was able to retire early and I am in a better place. I just wish Robin could have found his happiness he deserved.
