you know well that if cyborgs were to come for real, I think they would look more like ordinary robots with organs in them and be mechanically advanced. the ones you see in robocopp is not at all possible because that big and compact and clumsy body would never really be that strong and fast because the metal arm would just hit the chest plate and he wouldn't even be able to cross his arms and he wouldn't even be able to pick things up with his feet because he has no toes either. he can't even bend down uranium and fall over and big clunky engines and that and ball bearings that wear fast and hard.,, and why keep the human face since he's a meniscus, a face that is meant for a human who has been put on a cyborg is unnecessary time to create a robot police. it's also stupid. instead, you can make a mechanical anatomical construction and connect wires to the limbs or connect hyderal hoses from a pump in the body, which then with the right construction gives the person super strength to be able to lift 600 kilos., much more effective and if robocop is built like a skeleton, it is more likely because you can squeeze a skeleton if you don't take into account what it is and then the killer injures himself on the mechanics because it is built in a strong way and the killer has himself to blame.? if you take robocopp and grievous, grievous is much, much more likely then, I think, because he can also fold forward 2 extra arms and has a lot of protection around his body and a throat rinse that protects the throat, unlike robocopp and you can only take a wooden stick and knock his head off. robocop for me is totally fucked up 👿👿👿💚💚💚Dis are general grievous ate the ultimate cyborgdesighn💚💚💚

As a very child I watched the original Robocop, I've never forgot two things - the beginning of the film where he is blown to pieces by the gang, and the bad guy who's covered in toxic waste then ran over. The original film is a classic full of memorable practical effects ( the remake, not so much.)

As to the whole statement about learning how to circumvent his programming, he never did. Directive 4's automatic shutdown function triggered when he attempted to use physical force on Dick Jones, when he was going to arrest him. By the end of the movie, he never attempted to use Physical force on him, he merely presented the evidence and it was the Old Man's words firing Dick that cleared out Directive 4, Jones no longer being a Senior Officer of OCP on the spot because he was fired by the Old Man. In Robocop 2 he fought the crazy directives programmed into him, apparently those didn't involve a killswitch function like Directive 4 to use the station transformer to wipe his directives clean. Then in Robocop 3, Directive 4 still stood in his way initially when McDagget killed Lewis, shooting the Rehab transport instead of McDagget. Directive 4 was subsequentially removed by Dr Lazarus while fixing him up.

The one thing I didn't like about the remake was that damn right hand. It just didn't make any sense to have such an obvious weak point like that. Even with that deleted scene explaining that they wanted Murphy to have a human handshake, a dumb idea in and of itself, why leave the hand exposed the rest of the time? They easily could have given him an armored glove for the fire fights.

That a genuinely good question man. But considering the level of technology, by the time Alex would need a new organs (lets say the previous ones are worn out by age), the technology would probably advance enough to regenerate his organs using stem cell technology, or entirely clone them. One of the other options ( depending again on the evolvement of tech in that particular universe) would be simply replacing gradually everything with artificial bodyparts, including his organs. We are not that far from such technology, even now.

To be honest, Robocop was an entirely new Persona and Murphy's mindwipe left his memories broken and scattered, Robocop realizes he is Murphy as he begins to connect with those memories but never in a complete way. It's until Prime Directive's third episode when this issue is adressed by having the node connected to the region of his brain connected to long term memory to always have been inactive, and the rebels activate it, giving him full access to his whole memory and identity. Think of it like this. You get amnesia and you develop a whole new personality. But eventually you start getting your old memories, yet you know you are not that person. Or those memories feel right to you. Are you still your old self? Or are you someone new who remembers another life? Robocop spent his whole life in this situation.

Yep, in the original Robocop movies his head is just a bolted face on top of the Robotic frame. In Robocop 2 a deleted concept would have Cain's gang peeling off Robocop's face of his head to reveal a metallic skull underneatb. Not to mention in Robocop 3 his grafted face was supposed to be burned by thugs and replaced (this was meant to explain the recast)

In terms of RoboCop vs Terminator...if we're going of the T-800 model 101, I'd have to say RoboCop would win. The T-800 was superior in many ways sure, however it was able to not only be killed but reprogrammed by humans. The other aspect of the Terminator is that it's AI operates on logical predictions and focuses on the highest probabilities. At the end of the day RoboCop is still Murphy. Being human provides that certain 'X' factor that cannot always be accounted for, that's our ability to act irrationally and go against all logic. In simulations (albeit for entertainment) usually that 'X' factor is what gives RoboCop the edge of the Terminator.

Agree, Robocop has all the advantages of a computerized mind while keeping human creativity and more free will, he also has much better sensory systems and in terms of raw strength and durability he surpass the T-800. The T-800 is more agile and has doesn't need constant maintenance as Robocop does.

Based off the 1st movie (and maybe second) T800 aiming is not that great. Robo has some good bullets and can shoot down barrels. Not sure what would happen in a fist fight (think T800 would win). The T series in Sarah Conner files would win easily. That damn thing could punch through a steel vault door.

I own the first 3 movies, the two live action tv shows (the series) & (prime directives), remake, on dvd & I love them all just hated the black suit in the remake looked like k.i.t.t from knight rider trying to be human the black suit and red visor, I also own robocop rogue city on steam (pc) and love it as well, there are some I like less than others of course but as a whole I love them all.

There are different anatomical differences between the old movie and the remake, in the original he retained his stomach and part of his small intestine at least due to the fact he could eat food paste or baby food to feed his organic parts, also in the original, part of his brain was damaged due to getting shot in the head, but in the remake his brain wasn't damaged and all nutrients were directly injected in with his blood to feed his organic systems, due to him not having a stomach, so technically Robocop from the original could survive without the OCP lab, but in the remake he wouldn't be able to cause he would basically starve to death, and while he can't reproduce, I always got the feeling that in the original, they might have added a bit of umm, hardware, so he could physically have intimate relations, but in the remake, probably not cause it seemed like they wanted him to be sad and lonely and dependent completely on them for his very survival.

You are aware your video is crossing two different franchises. The original Robocop series (1987, 1990 & 1993) and the terrible reboot in 2014. Both series were Alex Murphy, but the degree of body prosthesis varies. While they called the original Robocop a cyborg he really wasn't. The only part of Alex Murphy they kept was is brain & spinal column or as Bob Morton put, total body prosthesis. The reboot Robocop had his whole head, lungs & heart inside a robotic frame. The reboot was more of a cyborg because of the amount of original body parts that remained.

The first movie is a CLASSIC, but it let me with a lot of questions when I saw it the first time ... In my mind, everything under the torso, the arms and legs are gone. I believe he still has its lungs, his digetive system but in its simplest expression .... I don't know if he still has a human heart, it would make no sense to let such a weak organ ... As for the face, it's plastic/rubber covering a "T800 like" skull. The 2014 reboot is GREAT, the movie should have been more successfull : great effects, solid story, GREAT actors .... the fact is was released after "high tech movie" such as ironMan is certainly the reason why the movie had less success as it should have ... this movie has the credit of showing you everything that is left from Alex body. The scene is RAW, but you don't have any question left ! Why body do you prefer ? the 1.0 (grey metallic) or 3.0 (black) ?

0:28 Robocop is NOT ruthless. What are you talking about? Robocop obeys and upholds the law, he has shown compassion and has taken care to protect the innocent above all else even to his own detriment. I can't imagine missing the point of the character this badly.

Personally I don't think our brain could survive with next to no flesh and surrounded by metal same with the organs buts still cool
