This was one if the most unusual movies , from the very hard way it was to get it made , to the production company going bankrupt, so it was not allowed to be shown for 2 years while the rights to the picture was being hashed out. Orion? Do not remember. But what a great film. Lockwood Smith, M Ferrer, Ronnie Cox, etc , an all star cast of new middle age and old actor's. Still one of the best if the action ,saterical, and crazy future tech .

Hugo Brömme I agree with you. I remember my brother and i watching RoboCop, when we were way too young to. We had it on video cassette. It's not that I didn't have proper guidance or anything. I guess in our house, there wasn't many rules about movies. Except movies with sexual scenes and rightly so but movies with violence or bad language went over my parents head lol. My dad was always a fan of horror movies, so we were watching Draculas and werewolf movies too.

3 or 4 years old here. I honestly can't remember the first time I saw it. Terminator, Robocop, Aliens, and Predator are the Mount Rushmore of 80's sci-fi action, and they were on serious rotation in my living room when I was a kid. Keep in mind, back then parents didn't care. All these R-rated action movies made for adults all had toys, videogames, comic books and of course, Saturday morning cartoons based off of them aimed at kids. Same goes for Rambo. I think Die Hard and Lethal Weapon might be the only R-rated action movie franchises that didn't have that kind of marketing.

I think Nancy Allen could be an excellent consideration to portray in for the late Carrie Fisher. Nancy Allen is a few years older than Carrie and they're both of the same era and Nancy is a fine actress. Although, I really don't care for Disney Corporation.

18:08 Michael Biehn was gonna be Robocop if Weller was fired? That's the 1st time I heard of that. I never heard Michael Biehn mention that in any interviews. I guess the producers never went as far as to ask him to play Robocop.

never heard that anywhere. but Weller wasnt first choice at all, they were looking for Rutger Huer but somehow it he didnt selected, later they was thinking about Schwarzenegger but he was bit huge for the Robocop suit
