This is what people mean when they say they want lower budget games... if that AAA crash is really happening, this type of game will thrive, which I'm ok with. Really feels like the devs had fun, even if it's not the best ever
@novelezra Жыл бұрын
That crash is going to happen. The bloat is getting severe and games like Baldurs Gate 3 are showing the executives that most gamers are losing interest in modern live service schlock (they lost interest years ago but BG3 is the kind of game that made higher ups take notice). I think we are going to start seeing larger game publishers take some risks again. Maybe EA will let Bioware do something that isn't a live service nightmare and maybe Microsoft will start using some of the smaller IP's that they now own. Maybe they will finally let Rare make another game that isn't that pirate game. Maybe Activision and Ubisoft will release something that's not dog shit.

9:19 - Weird. I played through the whole game on PC right around when it was released, after the very first patch, and I never encountered this bug on PC. Though the only time I really used full auto was one of the last PCBs were it is paired with the auto loader so perhaps the bug is PCB specific. Actually I'm surprised how many bugs you encountered. I encountered some but not this many. The big issues I found was that it appears the game was rendering the lighting very extremely in that things would go from well lit to the darkest pits of hell. Like the front of the police station is pitch black. I played it on Windows 10 on a GPDWIN4. The first model, with the AMD Ryzen 7 6800U with integrated graphics. The one thing I did encounter were crashes when loading cinematics, but that seems to have some relation to graphics settings though the behavior was inconsistent.
@Silvergun_Raven Жыл бұрын
I only encountered three specific bugs: Corpses talking after they die, Auto-saves disappearing when exiting the game (happened twice), and the game running at 5fps when launching for the first time, which, was fixed by changing the frame rate from Unlimited to 60. Overall, a fantastic freaking game and I can't wait to see what they come up with next (hope it is an Aliens game with marines).
@jasonblalock442911 ай бұрын
9:19 Good review overall, but one thing you overlooked: there was a button for changing firing modes on weapons. X in this case. You can see it hidden in the HUD in the bottom-right. That's how you change between burst and auto, when available. Granted, this is NOT explained well and it took me a couple missions to figure it out too. But yeah, I absolutely loved this game, warts and all. It instantly became one of my favorite B-games ever.

Much love and respect for this studio for 2 really nostalgic and put together games! Robocop was my favorite action movie growing up as a 90s kid so playing the game was like going back in time playing with my robocop action figure! Loved playing the action sequences with the theme song cause it made them so much fun, the attention to detail to the many set pieces from the film was amazing, the references via lines, characters, pieces of the environment were put together with what you can tell was love for the source material and so on! And since the single player/story mode idea of games has been going away with games with online only features and micro transactions this was a much needed breath of fresh air. Granted the voice acting and some of the character models were meh it’s easy to ignore them for all the other great things about the game! The story was good too with some parts being actually chilling, funny and action packed. And just as a side note I know ya had the clip where the ED 209 was shooting I think an already dead enemy idk if that’s a bug cause it happened to me during the bank heist that I honestly think it was just a random event cause we all know that 99 out of 100 the ED 209 is dumb as hell so it could’ve been just shooting an already dead body like in the movie 🤷🏻♂️😂 and the sheer fact that Peter Weller coming back for the role was amazing! Idk if it’s cause of his love for the role or was a big paycheck but either way I’m so glad he did it cause we saw what saw what happens with other people trying it *cough cough* robocop 3 😂😂

I crave games just being games like this again. Things like this and Ghostrunner give me hope that we can head back in the direction of fun for the sake of fun. It's a step up from a true indie in terms of budget and scope and honestly at times visually stands up against AAA in some instances. I hope this team after they're finished up with this racing game they're doing and after the response this had they can go on to make more stuff like this because this is what I think is needed to give a little shot back to the industry.

Burger King... I think. I don't know. I think so though. And because of this, I think it's kind of unacceptable that Robocop doesn't have a burger king. Alright, let me get this off my chest - what in the world were the developers of the Robocop video game thinking when they decided NOT to include a Burger King in the game? I mean, come on! We're talking about a franchise that practically screams fast food tie-ins, and they completely missed the golden opportunity to have Robocop chow down on a Whopper between intense crime-fighting missions. Picture this: Robocop, the ultimate crime-fighting machine, taking a break from cleaning up the mean streets of Detroit to enjoy a flame-grilled burger at a Burger King. It's a match made in cybernetic heaven! But no, the game developers decided to deprive us of this glorious moment. What a missed chance for some epic product placement synergy. I can already imagine the tagline: "Even the toughest crime-fighter needs a break - refuel with a Burger King Whopper!" It practically writes itself. Instead, we get a game that focuses on shooting bad guys and saving the city without even a mention of one of the most iconic fast-food chains. It's not just about the missed marketing opportunity; it's about the lack of realism. I mean, would you believe that a futuristic, crime-ridden Detroit wouldn't have a single Burger King? I don't buy it. It's a travesty, a betrayal of our expectations as gamers and fast-food enthusiasts. So here's to hoping that in future Robocop games, they wise up and recognize the importance of integrating a Burger King into the gameplay. Because until then, I'll be sitting here, dreaming of a world where Robocop can enjoy a delicious Whopper while taking down criminals. It's the crossover we deserve but didn't get. Shame on you, Robocop game developers. Shame.
